Ricky Burns vs Julius Indongo for 04-15!

Post by imaioral »

A very interesting and probably great fight between Ricky Burns vs Julius Indongo for the unification of the WBA-IBF-IBO. The winner probably will fight Crawford.

Nice...I like Indongo even though I only saw his 1st-round blowout of Trojanowski. Love to see him blowout Burns too but I dont see Julius beating Crawford if they ever fight!!

Well, after Indongo KO's Burns, we will have him vs Pacquiao in Africa for Pac's next farewell world tour fight!

If Indongo wins, Crawford vs Indongo Unification for all 4 belts would be pretty awesome.

I'm saying the winner of this fight will fight Pacquiao next, imo. Also in my opinion, it will be another fight to keep Pacquiao away from Crawford (even though Crawford isn't even a welterweight) and instead of fighting the best welterweights out there. It fits right in with Arum's world tour for Pacquiao.

By the way, Indongo KO'd Troyanovsky, but his only notable win was 35 yr old Cuenca, who had fought nobody. The jury is still out on Indongo, but if his former profession is a cab driver or teacher, he will get the shot. I guess I am not too excited about Pacquiao is holding the belt hostage by giving world title shots to teachers and cab drivers. Taking a page out of Wilder's book I guess. All the while guys that deserve a shot, like Spence, is put on ice while the very brave Brook decides what to do. :OhYes:

Ohh ok, it sounded sarcastic like you didn't think it possible that a well over the hill burns could be ko'd by indogo. It's a fair point that you make, but I think troyanovski was actually pretty sound all round regardless of his previous opposition, and it showed that indogo can really bang, I don't think burns or anyone in the division would have got up from that shot. But yeah I see your point.

Troyanovsky was his first pro fight outside of Namibia, but the fact that he was a 2008 Olympian in Beijing should dispel any notions of general unfitness. He doesn't have a high KO ratio to speak of, but has 5 first-round KOs in 21 fights, one against a world champion.

I'm just interested to see how he looks when the water gets deep.

I hope Indongo wins. I have zero interest in TCraw v Burns II.
