Wilder is willing to face Bellew !

Post by ValMar »

I don't like this...Wilder is capable to hurt him seriously...What do you think about this potential fight...Would you like to see this mismatch ?

I'd bet good money he is. And that he'll happily travel to the UK for it.

Surprise surprise, Wilder's willing to take a payday against a weak cruiserweight

Why wouldn't he? Bellew poses even less danger than Wilder's previous crappy opponents.

Once again it would be by far his best opponent yet, but appearantly Wilder knows something that makes sure the fight won't happen, for whatever reason, since this guy is to good, despite he's only a cruiserweight.

Bellew will be fine. A one punch knockout then back home to his family and he could leave boxing for good, it's the sustained punishment that does serious harm.

Though Wilder atleast needs to take on a serious opponent before it, like Pulev or Ortiz.

 no surprise..... Wilder is one of the least proven heavyweights in the world, let alone one with a championship belt....

Every contender he's fought defending his championship has been nothing more then men of straw.... Period....

Bellew's the only one who benefits from such a bout. He can get hit, take a knee, get counted out, and walk out of the arena with a few million dollars. Wilder would get another "win" on his record, but this would go down to be about as meaningless as Joe Louis's win over a one eyed, shot, John Henry Lewis. All the while, guys like Povetkin who are deserving get swept to the side once again.

Wilder is a joke, but everyone already knew this. When is this turd going to fight a top fighter? He is making a disgrace of the title Heavyweight champion.

NO... This is exploitation at it's worst... Like they picked Gerald Washington because they knew they could knock him out... Bellew would be wide open for Wilder's right hander... Just like Washington was -- but he's a lot easier to reach.

This is like Adonis leaving Canada to face Sean f'n Monaghan. Wilder will absolutely annihilate Bellew. So sick of this crap.

I havent analyzed this fight sufficiently but one of the keys to victory for Bellew would be to lose the first few rounds on points and simply not engaging his opponent. Wilder is dumb as a doorknob, the openings will be there and very exploitable as the fight progresses and the fans start booing. If Bellew on the other hand decides to be proud and participate in an early slugfest than he has no chance of winning.
No he doesnt. Wilder punches like a mule. Bellew wont be able to absorb his power.

Yes ! Every boxing fan knows that Wilder is not a very skillful fighter. But, he has a lethal power.

I agree with that but just to play devil's advocate for a moment, that's what they were saying about Bellew against Haye.

If you give even the most fleeting of sh*ts about your legacy / reputation, Wilder, then stop smacking your lips, look away now and think instead about fighting a challenger worthy of the description. (No disrespect intended toward Bellew who's a decent champion just not at heavyweight)

Let's get a few things right here. We know DW is a raw looking heavyweight that hopefully will step up soon, but Bellew isn't his choice. He is not seeking out someone weak and small like some of you are saying. They congratulated Bellew, and said it would be an interesting fight, but prefer Parker for their next fight. Bellew called Wilder out for a fight after beating Haye....not the other way around. By the way, Haye would have won easily if he didn't get injured, but credit to him for saying Bellew won fair and square, and was the better man that night.

It would be a career ending night for Bellew if they fought. Even though Wilder is a joke and worthless.

Wilder is not a joke nor worthless. He's a raw but formidable holder of the WBC belt. Unfortunately if his opposition remains at the level it has so far he's likely to remain WBC Champ for a long time to come, and we'll still be wondering how good he actually is.

I don't know if he is Wilder's or Parker's choice but it was reported they and/or their people are interested in fighting him.

Impossible....Only exception could be injury...Adonis(80 kg) almost killed Bellew...Could you imagine Wilder's hook landed properly on Bellew weak chin ?

True, but if Bellew landed some of the shots he landed on the gay nightclub line dancer look alike in the first round the other night, it could be Bambi on ice.
