Too many fans think they're some sort of boxing overseers.
Exactly. Thinking too deep into what he eats, sniffs or what his mind state is is just pathetic.
If Tyson wants to get fit and box then let it be, he'll toy with anyone if he's fit
Yeah, I mean, obviously you know better than a board appointed to oversee the safety of the fighters it licenses, what with your extensive experience and that.
Never said I did, wouldlnt say I did either
You missed the point totally so it's not even worth going back over it
Apparently he has gotten his license to fight through the Irish board, so he's completely bypassed the BBBC altogether.
If men are willing and able to fight, they will indeed find a jurisdiction that will allow them to. It'll be Britain's loss, ultimately, if he wins his comeback bout and then manages to get ranked in the top ten or five again, and faces a Deontay Wilder or the winner of the Joshua-Klitschko fight. They'll (then) clear him to fight cus there'll be too much money at stake, which will show their "moral and ethical" standards are nothing more than bullshit, completely. As I've said before, countless times on this forum and elsewhere, the BBBC oversteps its bounds on every facet of the game.
Remember Bellew's rant at the BBBC following his win over Haye? His own words mirrors Fury's actions, "I'll find somewhere else to license me. Fuck the board," in the post fight press conference. And quite right. Deservedly so. The BBBC shouldn't be in the business of being the political correctness police, let alone try and dictate how one should live or act in their private and public life. This is the fight game, period, not Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.

Latvian binmen who as far as they are aware, are fit to fight, and have the appropriate documentation.
If you can't see the inherent problem in having people who have been declared to have serious mental health problems fighting, then there's probably not much point discussing it.
Who declared Fury to have serious mental health problems, outside of the Fury camp? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't think he's been sectioned or anything like that?

Well I'm assuming for now they are telling the truth. People with bipolar are not automatically sectioned. Being sectioned does not happen easily, you have to present an obvious danger to yourself or others.

His "depression" was a made up story to deflect attention from his drugs transgressions. There's nothing wrong with him.
And you have what evidence to support this that you can speak with such authority on the matter.
The board Irish or otherwise will decide whether they believe he is fit to box, I suspect the Irish board won't want to take any chances on allowing a fighter serving a doping ban with mental health issues to box - they will look at his medical records to ascertain the truth.
Far from being a 'bleeding heart liberal' I just want the board to verify that he's fit to box - what on earth is wrong with that, - it is their job after all. If his medical records indicate he is, then fine, but just going 'sod it, let him fight' isn't really a recipe for anything good. Maybe we should let Blackwell fight, after all, he wants to fight too?

Judging by the tenor of your previous posts on the subject of mental health I suspect you're not being as dispassionate in your discussion of this particular topic as you are when discussing other matters.
I have no evidence, just common sense. He's pretending to be ill to avoid the consequences of his behaviour. That seems blindingly obvious to an impartial observer.
Who though James has actually said he's mental , Has a doctor actually diagnosed him has having mental issuses , Its ok him saying himself i'm mental , its ok his wife saying he's not all there ,, but my wifes been convinced for years i'm mental , and some of the stuff i do actually has me stopping to think , she may be right .... But self diagnosis is not totaly convincing ,,, Lot of the left wing fairy brigade , think he's mental because he proclaims homo's are a bit queer , ,,, Lot of the people in touch with there feminine side think that he's mental because he's old fashioned and thinks women should stick to baking and raising the kids ,, Lot of the far right radicals , think he's mental because he talks about God .
But has he actually been diagnosed from a doctor , , if he has ,well i'm sure he can get a harley st doctor , who will dispute it , ,If he has'nt who are the board to say he's mental there not doctors ,, So that just brings in the ban for drugs , once he completes his ban he should be eligeble , , and if they still refuse he should take them to court and SUE THE ARSE OF THEM for restriction of trade based on the fact that they have allowed others to box after there ban was finished .
These guys think they have more power than they do , and seem VERY SELECTIVE on what they do and who they do it too .. I 'm not in the loop , and like most fans only guess and read , what it is with him , but it does seem like a lot is just smoke screen and mirrors . Do i think he's mental , well to be honest , he just seems to have a lot of old fashioned values, in a young mind , likes his beer , and his coke , like most young people , and finds it a bit hard to handle the pressure ... Not just the pressure put on him from beating Vlad , but the pressure thats been on him his whole life , Overall given his cicumstances , and his upbringing , which i find VERY SIMILAR to my own , i commend him for staying on the straight and narrow and doing himself proud ,
Regards mental , NO i don't think he is ,, Regards being a bit lost , i think he's been that his whole life , I think the worst thing happenening to Tyson is his Dad getting out , that would of upset the apple cart no end .
That means he will pull out form Ustinov fight second time.
Noone will grant Fury a license when he has unresolved PED and mental issues. Except of maybe Russians. Then they can make unsanctioned fight in some lawless place like Chechnya.

ARE YOU SERIOUSLY SUGGESTING.... the man who made Klitschko look like complete shit..... is afraid of Ustinov?
Am I missing something here? Isn't there more to this than which set of initials are on his license or which country it is, surely the whole drugs test is the main hurdle to getting Fury back in the ring & that sounds far from resolved.

Point is none of us know, we just have his word for it. And the word from Team Fury can often be taken with a large pinch of salt. I've watched lengthy interviews featuring members of their team coming out with absolutely demonstrable nonsense, including dates for a Tyson fight at Wembley.
Either way, the timeline of what happened does show something of a downward spiral. Wins title, reaction to win is mixed, reaction to comments made about women, gays, Jews and so on negative, looks fat at Wlad rematch press conference, tickets sell poorly, fight postponed after injury, out on the drink at Euro 2016, charged with doping offences, fails cocaine test, fight postponed indefinitely with more evidence of dismal ticket sales.
There's a lot wrong with that. Is mental illness the reason or a handy excuse?

Fucksake Jim, the BBBoC are as bad as any of the bodies. Money grabbing, corrupted pudenda.
Personally I dont think the BBBOC have the skill set to detect or diagnose mental illness. The BBBOC are stuck in the last century and is run by old duffers who have no boxing experience between them. I certainly would not have any faith in them regarding mental illnesses within their boxing licence holders. Mental illness is a complex science and I have never witnessed or heard anything from the BBBOC that they have invested in mental illness.

They wouldn't attempt to, they would look to the evidence of medical professionals. If, as his family claim, he has been diagnosed with bipolar, thgen it will be on his medical records.
