If I had a time machine, this is the one date I would go back to, just to watch this fight live.
Biggest fight ever (yes, bigger than Mayweather V Pacquiao, SKY)!

The Demspey-Tunney fights had the biggest gates and most attendants in constant dollars accounting for inflation... May-Pac made the most money in total receipts in constant dollars.. Ali Frazier was the most publicized fight of all time... For drama and sheer effort, desire, and contempt displayed for the opponent in the ring, it was one of the best ever..For punishment absorbed by the combatants it was one of the toughest fights ever..
For boxing and punching ability displayed, it was nowhere on the scale of greatest fights in fistic history.. For mastery and artistry it was nowhere on the scale.. As an event that captured the world's attention it certainly ranks as one of the top events in Boxing history.. One of the things I remember was many people reveling in the defeat of Ali, "I knew all along he was a fraud, a motor mouth, and a phony" and pointing to pictures of Ali on his back with his feet in the air after taking Frazier's left hook in the 15th.. and just as many mourning his defeat and some people were crying.
The same thing that made May-Pac big made Ali-Frazier big... Haters and fans clashed big time... So many people were emotionally invested in the outcome.
