Nathan Cleverly v Badou Jack
Nathan Cleverly v Badou Jack
Jack called out Cleverly on Twitter to which Hearn replied that Clev is ready and waiting.
I think this is a decent fight if it happens.
How do you see it going? Jack on points for me.

Very good fight with plenty of action if it happens!
Would pick Jack on points
Would pick Jack on points

Jack comfortably. Cleverly is extremely fortunate to be a belt holder. He's been a faded force since Krusher.
I wonder how much goodwill he has for Bellew's ascent?

Badou jack wins for me
Re: Nathan Cleverly v Badou Jack
Can't be anything but a good fight. Jack would go in the favourite but Clev is at home in the trenches and would have a bit of a natural size advantage. Hope it gets made.
Re: Nathan Cleverly v Badou Jack
I'm sorting of leaning towards Cleverly in the fight but I know better to go against Jack. He's one of those fighters who just keeps upsetting the odds.
A bit like Steve Robinson in the 90's. You just knew he'd lose against Murphy, McMillan, Hodkinson or McKenzie but he didn't.
Until he got stitched up the F to the W.

Re: Nathan Cleverly v Badou Jack
This would be a proper tear up. Cleverly naturally the bigger man and could certainly impose himself on Jack early. Whether he can keep it up for 12 nowadays is anybody's guess. Jack has a very good engine and underrated boxing skills so I'd fancy him to move ahead and take the fight in the championship rounds but I wouldn't completely write Clev off. Good fight. Hopefully it's confirmed ASAP.

I don't know about goodwill but I imagine he is aware that the more Bellew wins, the better that split win and loss looks on his record.deadpan wrote:Jack comfortably. Cleverly is extremely fortunate to be a belt holder. He's been a faded force since Krusher.

Be hard to back against a Jack points win. Clev takes him to the trenches though.

I'd totally forgotten that Clev was a belt holder.
Re: Nathan Cleverly v Badou Jack
Jack's had good fights with British opponents Groves and Degale so let's see it.
Maybe he will be able to up the workrate a tiny bit at the higher weight.
Or maybe he won't be strong enough and we've recently seen the best of him.
UK or Vegas?
Cleverly won't want to let that title go, he got kind of a free pass when Braehmer gave up so expect a ferocious effort.
