The Errol Spence Hype Train Will Come To An End

Post by bnovelist »

Such arrogance, he believes that he will ko Brook in London when they fight. He's going to end up like Jeff Lacey I see things going BAD for

Spence traveling to another elite fighter's country such as Brook. Remember Brook is basically undefeated the only fight he lost is when he moved

up two weight classes. Brook is going to bust up Errol Spence.

I'm just glad you are not backing Spence. You picking Thurman almost blew it for him.
BTW, Spence is confident, not arrogant. Him getting a KO may be the only way he'll win over there unless he totally dominates. The special K towel will be waving about round 8 or 9.

hahahahahaha...no you didnt say that. you cant be serious. erroll has no neck, he cant take a punch. no way he will ever be able to beat GGG. he can become 147 and 154 #1, but never middleweights best.

I'm always serious. He's a huge welter, he'll definitely be a middleweight in a few years. If he can't take a punch he'll lose to brook. You're one bizarre little dude.

he is more athletic than ggg, brook was also more athletic than ggg. but ggg is arguably the biggest middleweight puncher ever, except jj

i just cant see how erroll who likes to trade shots survives 12 rds trading with that monster.

Ggg will be past his best by the time Spence gets to 160. Ggg hits harder than Julian. So did hearns and a few others.

I doubt Spence moves up two weight classes in the next two years, and I expect Golovkin not to fight at 160 by the time he is 37.

I was talking 3 or 4 years. Could be sooner if the right fight is there. He's massive for 47.

Brook will get his face broken, again. And will likely get his life saved, again. Thank God he didn't have to face the true ending of that last fight, the UK would still be in mourning.

I'm a huge Calzaghe fan, and it's beyond idiotic to compare this fight to Lacy/Calzaghe. There are almost zero similarities between any of these fighters aside from where they are from. And its good that ya'll are resting all your hopes on Spence being a hype job like Lacy, because when Errol is done beating the shit out of Kell, or Ingle saves his boy again, your left with the truth and can't twist it anymore.

x2. Lacy won the vacant title by beating Syd Vanderpool.(who?) Then he went on to beat the mighty Omar Sheika (who?) Then he went on to beat the very scary Rubin Williams. (who?) These were the fights before Calzahge, and I guess were the reason he received so much hype?

Spence I will say is still untested for the next level, but destroyed a common opponent of Khan and Pacquiao, whom they could not. Time will tell with Spence, but he looks like he has the goods. If Spence's chin proves solid, the sky is the limit for him, imo.

I believe Thurman to be one of the greatest boxers of all time. I want to see Thurman v Spence. Thurman often fights far within his capabilities. With Spence he'll have to fight at his limits.

A great fighter would be made greater.

Really??? You really think that honestly? Have all your money on brook then. take porter out of the equation and he only just scraped past him, (I actually think porter shaded it anyway) and who has brook beaten?? Nobody is the answer. Brook will lose this fight all bar an incredibly biased decision.

Leonard bundu ko'd who's never been stopped and Keith thurman couldn't stop, Chris algieri ko'd, whose never been stopped, Chris van heerden ko'd, whose never been dropped let alone stopped, phil lo Greco ko'd, whose never been dropped let alone stopped! Spence is younger stronger hungrier, had half the fights brook has, against better opposition bar porter and ggg and I think he lost both of those. Spence will beat brook comfortably on points if he's doesn't stop him mid-late. Fact.

So all nobodies basically. Bundu was a shell of his former self when he fought Spence. Maybe once you pull your head from out of Spence's ass you will be able to breath and realize he hasn't beaten anyone of note yet.

I'll be rooting for Brook but I'm not confident. Spence looks a bit speciial to me. He has a great inside game and those body shots ... am glad it won't be me taking them, I get winded just watching them.
