With his usual matchmaking it had the look of an eliminator.

Breazeale will need a lot of money to come back to Alabama.

It'll be interesting to see the few Wilder cup bearers left here explain away this fight if it really is next. Perhaps Wilder injured himself during this assault and needs an easy opponent to test out the injury. I mean it's worked the past few fights :TU:

Well, with Parker vs Fury not happening until May, I don't see why there's not plenty of time for Wilder & Breazeale to settle their differences in the ring as long as said match takes place sometime in May or June. It sure beats sitting idle.
Plus it will allow for a comparison between how Joshua handled Breazeale & how Wilder does. Which will add some intrigue to a potential Joshua vs Wilder match down the road.

As a fan of both fighters, it's disappointing to read that this went down like that.
It's surprising as well because they're both usually such gentlemen before & after their fights. It would be interesting to know what started the trouble between Breazeale & Wilder's younger brother before things escalated to that point.

So this incident was essentially some pushing and shoving with no punches thrown and no injuries. The click bate of boxing threads.

Wilder fought with Szpilka outside the ring, had a confrontation with Tyson Fury, is continually blackmailing Povetkin and his team and even all Russians in the media with his own entire team. Many people in the US have a negative opinion against Russians nowadays. He put a doll that symbolised Duhaupas on fire for fun, and even beat up a woman after a miscommunication! And then his lies and bullshit around Briggs, on top of the confrontation, it's a joke and you're surprised he says thing like this about someone else his kids? Well I'm not, for me it's tipical Wilder behaviour.

Wilder is clearly NOT a gentleman. If he needed to settle things with Breazeale, he should have done that not in front of the family.

I've always liked and wanted to like Deontay Wilder. He always seems a likeable and affable guy when being interviewed and who wouldn't wish good things on a man doing it for the sake of his poorly daughter?

I may have been getting a little impatient with his continual injuries and the fact that Stiverne still remains his toughest opponent to-date but then I excused him because he didn't ask Povetkin to fail a drug test but now it's looking like even this might be a bit naive and gullible of me.

So is there anything in this scuffle story and who is to blame? Well I think Breazeale is a class act and a decent guy but then that's what I thought about Wilder. What frankly shocked me was you-tube footage of Wilder paying a visit to this horrible little scrote who had been trolling him on-line. Now this troll would admittedly have wound up Mother Theresa but to quote John Cooper-Clarke "E were no bigger than a two-penny fart, 'e were a deft exponent of the martial art". Seriously the 6' 7" pride of the WBC is seen exchanging blows with this obnoxious midget in the gym outside the ring seen in the background and is even seen winging one of his agricultural scything punches at his tormentor while he's down on the gym-floor. I don't know whether any connected or maybe Deontay was just trying (unsuccessfully) to scare him but it was a pretty unedifying spectacle which leaves me in no doubt as to whose account of the Wilder Breazeale incident i believe.

My opinion of Deontay Wilder has undergone serious revision in recent weeks and not in any aspect has it improved.

I haven't heard him talking about his little girl in ages, he's only showing of in big cars, he smashed up a woman, there's footage of Wilder hitting Breazeale and that moment is filmed by like 10 guys at least, but allmost perfectly removed from the media.
Wilder put something that has to symbole Duhaupas on fire (imagine Duhaupas doing something like that to Wilder his daughter), he shooted something that symboled Szpilka, he smashed up something that was symboling Molina with a slashhammer, he's continually acting like he wants to fight top contenders, but allways at a moment when he knows beforehand that the fight can't happen, weather he's scheduled himself, or his opponent, or either has an injury, or Wilder got another good excuse to avoid the fight (like with Briggs).

As I've allways said, Wilder and Daffy Duck are the silliest boxers in the entire heavyweight scene.

Well nobody died, I'll give you that, but either Robles (Dom Breazeale's trainer) is a damned liar, which I don't believe for reasons I just alluded to above, or quite a lot of note happened.

I suspect we will hear no more about it and Breazeale will get a crack at the green belt by way of a reward for toeing the line. It's a fight I'd rather like to see if Wilder is intent on cleaning up the division by taking on all comers ranked 15 through 25. Breazeale would perform like Duhaupas only better and DW wouldn't get it all his own way. Of course I'd far rather see Wilder face Povetkin for example but that aint gonna happen is it?

@asdfjki. I hear Daffy Duck is fighting Donald Duck. They don't qualify as proper bantams so it'll be non-title but it will be top of the bill ... at least they aren't ducking each other. l canardly wait.

I'll get my coat.

@Saadoffthedeck

No of course he hasn't: Why face someone formidable like Povetkin when you can beat up Stiverne and get kudos from the WBC as well as an easy payday?

Doesn't a unification fight trump having to fight a mandatory?

Different rules for different org's, I don't care enough to separate them. Has Wilder fought a mandatory? Sucks it's Stiverne but it's not like he is going to drop his belt.
