This looks a good fight I hope sky pick it up, but I won't hold my breath.

Miranda looks to be a massive puncher, but I'd be amazed if he stops Howard. Hopefully Howard can test Mirandas chin and most importantly up his workrate, to give himself a chance with the away judges. I've only seen highlights of Eastman Vs Abraham but by all accounts he was unlucky not to get the nod, he deserves a rematch that a win against Miranda should secure.

I'm sure Eastman was meant to fight this guy AGES ago and it got called off, or just never came off. Might be wrong though.

I'm bored of Eastman, he's a legend in his own mind, but every big fight it's the same, poor performance with flashes of what might have happened had he put his foot on the gas, topped off with Howard bleating about being robbed.

True, that line is becoming tedious from Eastman, but he's still a top contender and has mixed in very good company. That get's my respect.

Howard has never struck me to be the best of travellers, but by no means the worst either.

A (hopeful) win for Eastman

. As chambers indicates, there's still some more milage left in Howard.

Howard has always seemed to fight as if he thought it would look very uncool to be seen to be trying. Now you can do that against the Jerry Elliot's of this world, but against hungry, determined contender level fighters, you cannot.

Fought on the McCline vs Lawrence / Tua bill that was shown on delay on Eurosport - the Miranda fight was shown.

Raw, but looks quite explosive. I think he will win, but not that confident.

This is a shot in the dark given I've not seen Miranda, but if you look at his record - well for a start it's very padded. If you take the 'step up' beginning with Sam Reese, 3 of his last 4 he hasn't KOd his opponent. The guys that have taken him to PTS are by no means sacks of spuds, but neither are they moulded out of high tensile carbon - they've been stopped by others.

So I think Eastman will last the 12 rounds. Whether he turns up or not is the more pertinent question IMO. If Miranda is "raw" as stu says, then maybe Eastman can stick it out and get a win. But he'll have to get off his backside this time.

I'm getting bored of Eastman myself. He seems to have been around forever. He will never get the big chances he has had again imo.

Hopkins was the ultimate shot and he blew it.

Hopkins gave a master-class.

Perhaps Eastman would have a couple won more rounds had he been more agressive earlier in the fight, but given how Hopkins took him apart in the fight's second half, I don't see how Eastman could have won this.

Channel 5 show all the Friday Night Fights although slightly edited at times. This is on ESPN's Friday Night Fights in the states - so expect it on Five delayed.

Wouldn't exactly say it was a masterclass Pundit, Eastman was worried about engaging as he would of got picked off by Hopkins. Hopkins was happy to sit on the outside and pick away, the fight turned out to be pretty dull from what i remember and i am somewhat of a fan of Hopkins.
