Good question. Unfortunately not. She even pushed my hand away when I tried to touch her breast on the second date.... I like to think the potential 'relationship' was doomed from the the first minute I said 'hi..... do you support Italy or England and do you have a Brazilian stripe?'PredatorHayds wrote:Did you get to find out if she had a Brazilian?boxingknockout wrote:Yes it's freaked me out for years and I am suspicious of anyone who works like that.jamesmcdonnell wrote:
Yeah, people feel that just by standing next to greatness they somehow bathe in it and some of it is conferred to them.
I actually worked with a girl when I was about 19 who used to 'boast' that her claim to fame was once having met Rolf Harris (this was years before we knew he was a nonce.) I mean really?
In a similar vein I went on a date during a World Cup with a girl who was half Italian, half English. I asked which team she supported. She answers Brazil. Even though she has no links to Brazil nor had ever been there.... when I asked why she said 'because they're the best'. Odd behaviour.

Surely Adrian Broner has already got that angle covered with his 'AB: About Billions' slogan.straali wrote:This month's Boxing Monthly has a feature about Lomachenko. He's quoted:"A lot of fighters say they want to fight the best in the world. The difference is I mean it. I will fight only the best. My goal is to be No 1 pound for pound."
Contrast this with Joshua in the current GQ:"when I first started, the aim was to become a multimillionaire. But now there are ordinary people, grandmas and granddads, who are worth millions just because of property prices. So the new school of thought is that I need to be a billionaire."
I NEED to be a billionaire! Fitting that oily car salesman Hearn is AJ's promoter. There's something about the big lump (several, actually) that scream "fake" to me and I found the GQ stuff further confirmation of those doubts.
Perhaps Joshua can trump him and start saying 'AJ: About Jillions'.

The only man I've ever idolised is Joey Dunlop but then he was truly something special, absolutely gutted when he was killed, I was about 16 at the time.

I think that maybe what he was alluding to.

Yes, curse those old people and their wealth. I can't stand it when I see pensioners who own property, and have the ability to look after themselves in their old age.straali wrote:This month's Boxing Monthly has a feature about Lomachenko. They should be donating their money to athletes, who are often overlooked financially when compared to the aged.

thats the thing, there are (gasp) ordinary people who are millionaries, now. who'd want to be lumped in with them, eh?
