Wlad or AJ. Who do you want to win?
Re: Wlad or AJ. Who do you want to win?
Leaning towards Dr Stayhumble, but really don't have a dog in the fight tbh. That's purely based on nationality. The pair of them are so boring I don't really feel strongly one way or another about either of them to really care who wins. I just hope what they lack in entertainment outside the ring they make up for it inside the ring.

Don't care who wins, just hope it's a decent fight.

This. Nothing against Wlad but if he wins the division could easily feel stale again. The prospect AJ vs Fury, Wilder, Parker etc excites me far more than Klitschko vs the same names.Syntax Error wrote:Joshua.
I'm bored of Wladimir & he's had his time.
He's a decent & dignified guy, but his HW reign was one of the dullest in living memory & I just don't think he is part of HW future at pushing 42 years old.

Wlads incredibly boring at this stage. He's had so long to be exciting but failed to deliver too many times. Manny Steward did so well with him but couldn't really make him take chances and be in exciting fights. I think every boxing fan should want AJ to win.

Unlikely to suddenly find a burst of excitement at 40.TheLeprechaun wrote:ElJefe wrote:This. Nothing against Wlad but if he wins the division could easily feel stale again. The prospect AJ vs Fury, Wilder, Parker etc excites me far more than Klitschko vs the same names.Syntax Error wrote:Joshua.

I suspect it will pan out much like the Fury fight, with Wlad failing to pull the trigger, and Joshua pummelling him.
I just think he's too old now. 5 years ago, different story.

Is there any chance that we see something new from Klitschko? I mean as in a last hurrah? He's an intelligent guy and think he has a smart team around him, surely he wouldn't go in there with the same tactics he went to tackle Fury?jamesmcdonnell wrote:Unlikely to suddenly find a burst of excitement at 40.TheLeprechaun wrote:ElJefe wrote:

I wouldn't say fury pummeled him. That was a dismal fight. Fury barely landed anything, much like wlad. For all the talk of fury winning easy, wlad was 4/5 to get the decision after the final bell.
Re: Wlad or AJ. Who do you want to win?
I'd like wlad to win, more to make Fury's accomplishment mean more than most gave him credit for but I just hope he can give it some kind of go? Wlad is the wrong side of 40 not fought for ages and was going downhill before Fury got to him, against the big, young, primish, lion and hard punching one at that. Klit might have one more in him to upset the odds but do you really think he is going to be any better now ? Doubtfull.
Re: Wlad or AJ. Who do you want to win?
It's all a backlash from his being pictured in a mosque praying.all this antipathy from this board started thandavie wrote:I know there's a bit of stick on here for his humbleness and his promoter
But even at that, I'm shocked a UK board would be in favour of Wlad.
I've got my gripes with the Matchroom hype machine and AJ's persona but not to the extent I'd not support the UK fighter
Wlad's no angel himself as we seen during the Fury fight. He fights dirty, he negotiates dirty and he's as well managed a brand in Germany as we will find under Eddie Hearn
As for personality. He's as wooden as Pinocchio's pecker.
It's not even as if his fights are edge of the seat stuff either.
I'm perplexed

I've no hatred for Wlad at all, think he comes across quite well and quite like the guy, but by far my favourite fights he's been involved in are the ones where he's been KTFO so I'll be hoping for that again.... as I've done every time he fights. Feel harsh saying that, but it's true!

Ha, a bit harsh, the Pulev fight was great and Wlad won that in style. But yeah, generally he is boring as fvck.sharpei_louis wrote:I've no hatred for Wlad at all, think he comes across quite well and quite like the guy, but by far my favourite fights he's been involved in are the ones where he's been KTFO so I'll be hoping for that again.... as I've done every time he fights. Maybe I'm just a sadist, but any time someone has been blasted out I feel myself kind of hoping to see it again, ie Khan v Canelo, very satisfying..... Am I alone?
Re: Wlad or AJ. Who do you want to win?
Much more satisfying than a tactical, cagey, tight UD points decision. Always feel sold a little short when it goes to points.sharpei_louis wrote:Maybe I'm just a sadist, but any time someone has been blasted out I feel myself kind of hoping to see it again, ie Khan v Canelo, very satisfying..... He's exciting when the other person puts it on him. Unfortunately that very rarely happens without him hugging and leaning.Boxerbeetle wrote:Ha, a bit harsh, the Pulev fight was great and Wlad won that in style.
