Excellent fighter in a similar style to Qawi and Frazier. Probably belongs in the Hall of Fame. I think his 1st loss to Monzon is questionable.

Rodrigo Valdez was one terrific fighter, so I am sorry to learn that he has passed away. Was Valdez's legacy hurt badly when he seemed to be a virtual shell of his former self almost overnight by the time he was fighting Hugo Corro, the latter being one of the most unwatchable world boxing champions ever? I hope that Valdez's family, friends and fans accept my condolences.

RIP Champ and yes Valdez should have been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame because of his resumes.

I kind of disagree that he should be in the hall, though. His resume is not fully loaded like others that should be in the hall.
