Dirk Nowitzki vs Eddie Machen

Post by BoxBuzz »

Seems like a natural match up.

Now that Dirk has proved himself to be as good as any bballer that has ever lived, including that one guy, he must also be a HW boxing great....so it's time he gets his theoretical matchup with a top HW of the past.

He currently sports a perfect record of 0-0-0

I'm goin' with Fast Eddie in 4 rounds.

Machens left eye swells shut by Nowitzki's piston like jab and the ref stops the fight after the 9th round.

Jaywheel.....now now....bballers are boxers to.

We need bballers to feel safe on this forum and rolling of the eyes could be considered condescending and threatening ..this is a No judgment zone.

Nowitzki was the farthest thing from a fighter... He took on a bicycle once after a loss and stomped on it to vent his frustration... He totaled it. He was a great shooter in his day and won an NBA Championship over The Heat... Cool as a cucumber in the clutch in that series.

But taking on another basketball player in a fight??? When most NBA forwards and centers looked at Dirk...they saw lunch.

Can you imagine him walking down a narrow hallway with Karl Malone coming in the other direction if they had words during the game?

Dirk took years just to handle a tough style of defence from ballers. He's the furthest thing from a fighter. Ron Artest and Dennis Rodman have better attributes.

Eddie would stop Dirk in 40 seconds. Dirk was a helluva player, but he wasn't as skilled as Rasheed Wallace.

Ingemar Johannson didn't have real good skills, but he could hit real good... Not as hard as Wilt Chamberlain of course -- or Karl Malone.

Ingo took on Eddie Machen and smashed him out in the 1st round with savage brutality-- It's on youtube... Not a pretty sight.

Ingo used to play horse during training camp breaks.. Does that count?
