Sean Turner Liverpool
Hello I commented on the MBC topic but I think it has been removed
I have a boxer Sean Turner listed on boxrec for one fight he had under MBA, with out any licence or medicals against Michael Carter... I'm sure boxrec know of this... I know there was no medical or licence as I have been at everyone of Sean Turner fights... at the time MBA was part of the EBU think this led to them being removed
Sean Turner has had 2 more bouts with full medicals and licensing with MBC/BIBA but none of them on his record... unfortunately for Sean Turner, this is not helping him or any boxers if they can go aboard without medical or licence and have it put on this record site as a professional bout, but when they have medical and licensing don't have the results recorded
Sean is a good boxer with potential... but I feel this is wrong and will probably hurt his career as a boxer
Anyway I'm just looking for a explanation and more information on this subject and how this has happened
Thank you

Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
I doubt you will get an explanation mate. The only one I can give is that Boxrec do not record any fights a BIBA boxer has. I understand your feelings and ive often posted about the dangers of not listing boxers records. As far as im aware Boxrec is an official record keeper but does not list any boxers records or updates boxers records that have been on here previously fighting under BBBoC rules.
Please be aware there are 2 haters on this site that slag off BIBA at any opportunity when they see posts regarding the subject.

Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
Obviously... but why would they accept results from MBA knowing they are with out licence and medical, surely that can't be classed as professional boxing... strange way of keeping records
Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
there talking big sexy v con sheehan
Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
Maybe if he signs with a proper pro licence then he will get put on box rec. Unfortunately biba an malta are classed as the same and not really recognised

Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
But if he can get a bout recognised with MBA, no medical or licence? Makes no sense
What is the reason for MBC/BIBA not being recognised... shows was always on boxrec schedule until late last year, I would like to know but haven't got any logical answer
Latvia had the same problem but their shows are back on schedule now

As Sean has a BIBA licence my advice to you is what i do in times such as this. Just go straight to the horses mouth and ask questions. You will be suitably supplied with the correct answers if you do so.
Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
Because they let white collar fights happen on the same show as biba biba are signing people from white collar experience some of which get beat every week. Surely the big organisations are not goin to recognise them.
If u want to turn pro u go with BBBoC I don't see y anybody wuldnt.

Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
Alot of lads on BIBA are good boxers... Bbbofc have licenced alot of white collar boxers too
Also alot of the Latvia boxers coming over boxing on bbbofc shows are a terrible standard and they have no problem with that
I know over in Germany they licence semi pro white collar boxing on shows... as the same by MBA in Malta and boxrec still collecting records... double standards... if that's the rules they have set, then keep them the same for everyone

But also alot of the lads on the biba r journey men or not good enough to turn with bbboc otherwise they would. Maybe German have different rules im not sure. I know lads who have turned other with biba who wuldnt get an amatuer licence never mind a pro one as they lose everyweek in white collar fights.
But as u say one rule should apply to all ure right

Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
I think the Boxrec-BBBoC relationship is a complete conflict of interest.
It's as clear as day that:
- Boxrec does what the BBBoC wants
- Boxrec has massive issues with corrupt 'Editors' inserting bogus fighters as 'professionals'
- BBBoC are ridiculous for accepting these bogus foreign so-called 'pro' boxers without doing due diligence
- The EBU is a joke as it poses as a 'championship organisation' yet national federations class it as a sort of governing body!
There's boxers out there that pass all of the same medicals as the BBBoC, yet won't be recognised by the BBBoC, or Boxrec, for whatever reason... The whole Boxrec situation with BIBA is terrible and corruption at its best.

Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
Do Biba do brain scans and PED testing ?
Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
biba do mri bloods medical and eyes- they do drug testing- just came in and they are also the first boxing board to have hand held head scanners. there are low levels in every boxing board so to say bbbofc doesnt sign people that shouldnt box pro is wrong, they do and as someone pointed out before, there happy to let very low level standard boxers from away box on there shows. if you know your boxing you will know that one of klitschkos world title fights had unlicensed fights on it- it happens in more than biba. Boxrec do reconise malta boxing association and it is correct they have been known to let boxers with no medicals fight pro!! All boards have there faults and im not going to start hating on bbbofc but they let fighterS come here and fight from countrys that have much worse boards than biba, they just make said boxer sit all there required medical tests, they could very easy do this with biba boxers (all though there medical is to the same standard) but they just dont want another governing body on there turf.
Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
Try to get Sean matched with Frans Botha. Could be a decent fight for Sean you know.engineroom wrote:Alot of lads on BIBA are good boxers... Bbbofc have licenced alot of white collar boxers too

Re: Sean Turner Liverpool
BIBA do the exact same medical as the BBBofC, there has been some crackin shows up in Scotland for the WBF title a title recognised by BoxRec with loads of history, and these good old pros are not having them included on there record is terrible . These fighters have worked there whole careers to have that included on there record! Also makes the WBFoundation title history incomplete as well as updating the fighter records.
