Melb heavyweight tournament draw

Post by AntonS »

1. Kyle Brumby vs Wallace Too (never heard of him) - Winner fights, winner of 2 in Semi 1 & so on.
2. Bob Mirovic vs Kurtis Pegoraro
3. James Cook vs Moses Havea
4. Colin Wilson vs Ben Sosoli

Care to predict outcome?

Easier to pick the Melbourne Cup trifecta I'd suggest.

It will be 5 years to the day since Col Wilson last fought and he lost his last 5 fights - against some very handy opponents mind you.

Big Bob is 51 and has lost his last couple.

Very open field. I'll stick my neck out and predict a Wilson vs Pegoraro final.

Just checked results and Pegaro won over Havea in the final. Wilson and Bob lost on points first up.

Was always going to be a fairly open race.

I had Pegoraro making the final. But I didn't give Havea, who went into the night with 2 wins from 9 fights, a lot of chance of being there.
