Truth is Jacobs is in this fight to cash out. He knows his chin won't sustain that systematic thumping power
Jacobs looked scared and very nervous. Deep inside him knows that he's with a serious killer but he's content that he made a good business deal.Win, lose or draw, he's gonna win something.
Anybody knows what are the purses of both fighters and the PPV percentage ? Also what other incomes are gonna receiving Gennady and Jacobs ?

I'd go far to say that Brook, even he was a blown up ww gave more trouble to GGG than Jacobs will ever do.

I think that this statement is semi-accurate. I don't think that Jacobs is nearly as confident as he has let on to be. He'd be a fool to believe that he'll need anything less than a heroic effort and a lot of suffering to win this fight. If there's ever going to be someone to defeat GGG, that person has to catch GGG on an off night and give in and accept to take an absolute face changing beating to do it. That person will have to take all that GGG's got and hope he can take GGG to later rounds and see how well GGG fights tired.
Jacobs is not someone that i think has made this deal with himself. I think Jacobs chin is better than most think but I don't see him as someone that will make this kind of deal with the devil to win. In my mind, Jacobs will opt out when the digging gets deep and pain severe.

GGG is on a mission. He's gonna lure Jacobs in to something big. GGG is very smart and cagey inside the ring.caldo2025 wrote:I think that this statement is semi-accurate. Jacobs should just come out at the bell swinging and try and use that power he has to shock GGG.

The only way for Jacobs to win is to throw as many hard shots as he can for the first few rounds. He's got to go for the knockout while he still has power. There is no way he is going to outlast the G-Train over 12 rounds. One of Triple G's biggest attributes is his stamina.

Although I don't think Jacobs is going win this fight.
Jacobs looked confident at the weigh in. Judging by his conditioning Jacobs looks like he trained really hard for this fight. I seriously doubt Jacobs trained that hard to cash out.

It looks like Jacobs will try to have a huge size advantage. He didn't show up for the IBF same morning weigh-in. So, if the miracle happens and Jacobs wins, he is not getting the IBF belt.

from what i have read regarding ggg sparring kovalev and kovalev having a hard time with him, i doubt any size jacobs gets to will give him any significant advantage .it might slow him down though, not a good idea imo.

I agree that Jacobs only chance to get K.O'd early is to start throwing haymakers from the first bell.

He can blow up to 200, his chin is still gonna be fragile.boxing_rocks wrote:It looks like Jacobs will try to have a huge size advantage. He didn't show up for the IBF same morning weigh-in. So, if the miracle happens and Jacobs wins, he is not getting the IBF belt.

It could be nervous time for Jacobs.
