I think BJS would give him a fight in the first half, but as soon as GGG turns on the afterburners in the second half it could be a shellacking.

I know people take the pee out of Billy but I think on his A-game he's a really tidy boxer.

Gennady just has that radar and power to seek & destroy that style though I'm afraid.

A prime gangly 160 Pavlik who dusted Miranda & Taylor would have been fun. Otherwise there aren't any middles around that has the ballsy tenacity to try and win nowadays. It needs someone tough & strong to take it to him and give no f*cks.

Pavlik would have been fvcking annihilated by Golovkin. Probably wouldn't have got out of the second round, far too upright and easy to hit. But agree it would have been fun while it lasted.

bjs is a great boxer, just dont have the power to keep ggg of him for 12rds and ggg is great at cutting of the ring, triple g ko mid rounds

Billy is a great middleweight, but GGG is Elite.

My fear is that BJS tires late on and loses his shape a bit. He could be brutalised down the stretch after a spirited opening.

Fear not, BJS will be knocked out long before the stretch. Good for him taking the fight though.

Spot on. People are insinuating that if Saunders turns up in amazing condition then he'll give GGG nightmares. GGG beats Saunders any which way he likes and that includes outboxing him in a landslide points win. More than likely though, Saunders ends up stopped before the 6th/7th.

I thought it was a trick question when I first read it. I have seen nothing at all to make think that BJS has even the remotest chance of beating GGG.

He`ll get absolutely mullered.

Went to the wire with Blackwell and Ryder (some thought Ryder won it)

Lost to Eubank in my opinion and the only reason he beat Andy Lee was he threw 7 shots to Lee`s 5 (awful fight)

You have to have noticed that GGG is getting hit more in the last two years. Maybe age is catching up with him? His power is still there, no doubt, but his speed and reflexes I think have wained a little.

He's never been that hard to find when someone actually takes it to him, but his offense makes fighters weary of committing to their own attack. Even when opponents do throw back, it's often defensive, 'get off me for a second' shots rather than blows delivered with spite and scoring intent.

BJS can have his moments against GGG, but it's tough for me to see him putting it together well enough to win more than a couple rounds.

I have read that it is supposedly happening at a big boxing expo in Kazakhstan with GGG v BJS as the main attraction?

My opinion is that if it were to happen, it would be done and dusted within 5. GGG stops it when he wants, I don't think Saunders has anything to trouble him: doesn't have the power to hurt one of the best chins in the sport, doesn't have the speed of Brook who got demolished.

Neither Saunders nor Eubank Jnr have a prayer against GGG. I think Jacobs would beat both pretty easily and I think GGG will smash him to pieces.

I think the only way GGG can be beaten is by a guy who has a combination of a huge punch, a rock solid chin and a great inside game.

You can't hope to outbox GGG over 12 rounds as he's so relentless, has very underrate technical ability when he wants to use it and has such a great chin that he'll simply walk through you if you don't have a big punch. You have to gain his respect through your punch power and somehow discourage him from ploughing forward, whilst at the same time being able to take his shots which will land and often. It's a formidable task for any fighter in and around his division at the moment to do that.

I do think GGG has a potential weakness on the inside. He much prefers to fight at mid-range with his hurtful jabs and right and left hooks. He's less effective inside as he needs room to work. Someone like Ward would be an awkward night's work for him and even Eubank Jnr would give him some difficult moments on the inside. The problem is that that weakness can only really be exploited if you can do the first two things and I'm not sure anyone at middle or super middle can.

GGG wins this easily, in fact I think Saunders will give less of a fight to GGG than he got off Brook. If the fight actually happens.

Saunders is not a good champion at all. He would be in the mix for the worst current World champion, GGG is in the vast majority of people's top 5 pound for pound. GGG stops Saunders inside six, he will try to get Saunders out early if the Canelo fight is at stake.

He did smash Saunders to pieces. BJS a good skilled fighter but he can't keep a man like Golovkin off and he hasn't got the power or the engine to hang it out for 12 rounds.
