Looks like Canelo and Golden Boy have timed it to perfection.

Canelo lacks the mobility that Jacobs possesses though. He's got slow feet.

116-111 Jacobs for me, I thought he was the busier, quicker off the mark and usually had the last word in the exchanges, Golovkin scored a nice knockdown in the 4th with a lovely double right hand but GGG always had the look of 2nd best tonight IMO, always chasing shadows and even though GGG still looked sharp when he unloaded , Jacobs made him look a bit old

Yet again we score a fight nearly the same. 115-112 for me.

I didn't score it but I feel like Jacobs won. I might feel differently when I go back and score it round by round.

Styles make fights and I'd still take GGG to stop Canelo. He is nowhere near as elusive as Jacobs.

I thought GGG just edged it. Though you could easily score it to Jacobs for fighting a great Mayweather style defensive battle. Feel a UD a bit harsh as would have perhaps thought a SD maybe fairer.
I was impressed by the power of GGGs Jan that snapped Jacobs head back.
I know Barry Jones had for Jacobs and can respect that view.
Though it's only a stat I will be interested to see the compubox punch data.

They punch stats seem way off Jacobs pulled away 2nd half of the fight, it was always a case of Jacobs working the gameplan and Golovkin needing to hurt Danny

Composure's always been Golovkins strong point but tonight he wasn't nearly urgent enough and was outboxed by someone who was thought of as nothing other than a glass jawed puncher, Brook showed how to outbox and land combinations on Golovkin and Jacobs showed how to sustain it

Don't think it was a robbery by any stretch. A lot of close rounds. A round either way or a draw and you couldn't complain. I had Jacobs by two for what it's worth. GGG didn't look right from the start. Even on his way to the ring. He showed Jacobs far too much respect and was very wary of getting caught. Jacobs boxed well to plan and was unlucky. Kind of disappointing in the way of action but one of they fights you couldn't take your eyes off of.

A rematch has to happen next.

I'm going to get crap for this but I just can not see how Jacobs won that. I had it 115-112 GGG

I just don't think he landed anything significant in the first half of the fight. Sure it wasn't GGGs best performance but maybe people are thinking Jacobs won because he massively exceeded their expectations by going 12.

Robbery gets thrown about far too much as well. Chavez v Whitaker Holyfield v Lewis 1 Beltran v burns they are robberies.

For me if Jacobs had won not been knocked down in round 4 and won that round then that would have been the difference

I'm happy for a rematch to take place but GGG v Conelo needs to happen.

It is not and it wasn't the best of fights considering you had two power punchers sharing the ring. It was close though and some (not myself) see it as controversial so there will be calls for a rematch. Canelo doesn't exactly seem keen to get in the ring anytime soon so a rematch might make sense for both guys.

I'd rather see GGG against Jacobs again than see him in with that bell end BJS tbh. Would be nice to see BJS taken a part though.

I didn't stay up for it. I got up early this morning and watched. I forwarded straight to the Gonzalez fight then to GGG. I'll watch the start of the card later if I get a chance.

I noticed Max had a major blinkered hardon for Roman i the Cuadras fight. Roman was missing a lot early and missing big too, and everybody on the commentary was just acting like it was Gonzalez-pressure and business as usual and he was kicking the dudes ass whilst missing about 75%
