No. But this from Ring in 2011 where they ranked the best heavyweights of each decade might be of interest :Jip wrote:and what was the top 10 please?

Thank you for posting.
Interesting, but In my opinion a lot of the ratings are a load of b*****cks.

Interesting that Schmeling ranks over Louis for the 1930's in the opinion of Ring Mag, a decade where Louis completely dominated Max Baer and won 9 World Title Fights including blitzing Schmeling, who was eviscerated by Baer ... Chris Byrd ranks 2nd behind top ranking Wladimir Klitschko, and over 3rd ranking Lennox Lewis for 2000-2009... Lewis isn't ranked on top in the previous decade though he beat Holyfield twice according to Ring... Sonny Liston, the best Heavyweight of the 50's, isn't ranked in that decade at all... Liston is only ranked in the 60's where he was past his best, but ranked below Patterson who he obliterated twice... Don't dare rank Ike Ibeabuchi anywhere in the 90's. He was undefeated and beat the much more experienced and undefeated David Tua and Chris Byrd by UD and 5th round KO. Rank Foreman 6th off his losses to Holyfield, Morrison, and Briggs, and the fact that George threw 1 KO or knockdown punch in his last 6 fights and the last 83 months of the decade -- while cherry picking his opponents to the nth degree.
The rankings are as sad as the "All Time Heavyweight Championship Tournament" that promoted Rocky Marciano as the all time greatest Heavyweight -- with the complicity of Ring Magazine writers and other old white boxing writers -- and the fictionalized "computer fight" between Marciano and Ali.

I'm surprised they correctly have Rahman and Ruiz over vitali.
Re: Did anybody bought the Ring mag "greatest HW of all time"?
It looks like they threw darts at names to get the rankings. Absolutely pathetic.

Re: Did anybody bought the Ring mag "greatest HW of all time"?
It is based on how many months they spent in The Ring's Top 10 during that decade I believe - hence Ezzard>Rocky, Patterson>Liston, Byrd>Lewis etc etc etc. They were at or near the top for longer during that ten-year stretch.
