I have to say I love HBO Boxing and I prefer their production by far more than Showtime or PBC. But yesterday Max looked salty as f*ck after Chocolatito lost. It almost feels like Max was pissed off because for years now HBO was convincing everyone that Chocolatito is a P4P #1, and he just lost to an opponent who was picked for an "easy fight" as a way to let Chocolatito rest after the hard Cuadras fight.
I felt that Chocolatito won just barely. The knock down wasn't really a real knock-down. Rungvisai luckily caught him off balance. Plus there was the head butt that made him fight the whole fight with blood on his face because of the cut.
In general I just think Chocolatito had very bad luck in this fight. But that's no reason to try to almost insult the opponent, highlighting the fact that he was a garbageman on a PPV fight.
I think what we learned in the Cuadras fight and this fight is that Chocolatito's power isn't transferring very well to this division. I think we are gonna see many more fights like this (hard fought, bloody, close decision) from him, and I now have serious doubt that he can beat Inoue. I would certainly not recommend for him to move up in divisions anymore.

Nothing easy or picked about it. It was a mandatory against a tough as nails opponent.

I've been saying all along that Inoue would destroy Chocalotito if/when they meet.

I gotta think you were spot on. Honestly, I'd be more interested in Inoue/yamanaka at this point, though his brother probably gets that assignment first.Baby Face Finster wrote:I've been saying all along that Inoue would destroy Chocalotito if/when they meet.

Inoue has stated his intent is now to move up, he will defend the WBO belt in May though

Hand picked my dick. Roman didn't deserve to lose, end of.
As for this Inoue destroys him, he might just, but I'd hope this isn't dismissive of Roman's status as a living legend, he's up so many weights and struggling, he's the epitome of a modern day warrior. I like people's opinions but what I don't like is the ignorant disrespect of a fighter like Roman, or Floyd, Ward, Manny, Ali, Hagler, Loma etc.
