I already watched the round a few times, and the judges got it right :TU:

Youre fond of crying robbery (Mundine and Jack fights too) and no longer support a former favourite because of one lackluster showing in a career filled with standout performances ; you're among the worst types of boxing fan and are probably not worth having as a supporter.

You better not have another tough fight Danny, or else Clive will be on to his next favourite!

Looks like most media people scored it close with GGG winning.

What did you think?
Jacobs up by a point. I had him winning 7 rounds to 5 but lost a 10-8 in the knockdown round.

Jacobs landed and threw more power punches overall.

Jacobs landed more power shots in 8 rounds and also threw more power shots in 8 rounds.

If you love poxy jabs then maybe Golovkin deserved the win.

It isn't all about power it's about quality and scoring shots which Golovkin excelled in compared to Jacobs.

If it was all about power Mayweather would've barely won a fight.

Golovkin excelled at anything during that fight?

He looked like a slow-footed plodder with a desperate jab.

Mayweather regularly got out-landed in power punches?

I picked Danny to win a tight decision, he just about did. A point either way was a reasonable score. That knockdown was key, GGG failed to impress that's for sure. Maybe we can stop talking about DJ' s chin now, or his mettle. And that preposterous bullshit about Kell Brook winning a round and claiming God like status against Golovkin. GGG is slowing down, just like most high volume guys do at this age, his commitment to the jab is likely what edged it over Jacobs. I like seeing Canelo get his ass kicked in the ring and the courtroom, so hopefully he fights GGG this decade before Gennady hits social security age.

It was a fair decision.

John Rawling's commentary was terrible.
Where does Rawling commentate? Can't have been worse than Barry on Box-Nation!

Because it is a weak punch.

I am guessing Jacobs' face swelled due to some health condition, because Golovkin's jabs were weak. Danny's "landed" "power punches" inflicted significantly less damage in 12 rounds than WW Brook in 5.

You clearly love open hand slaps more than stiff jabs.

He scored a round for Golovkin that I scored for Jacobs, and a round for Jacobs that I scored for GGG, but arrived at the final same score: 114-113 for GGG.

If Golovkin's jabs were so good then why couldn't he follow up with more power shots?

Jacobs clowned Golovkin.

Ha-ha-ha. Nice job of clowning: getting dropped, having his own face swollen and losing by two rounds.

He made a monkey of Golovkin.

Golovkin has been exposed.

Jacobs was the superior fighter on the night.

Keep whining. When Jacobs learns to land shots, he may beat somebody of Golovkin's level.

Can't tell if you're trolling or really just that much of a contrarian that loves to argue but like the other poster said, getting dropped and fighting off the back foot getting stuck with jabs most of the night isn't what I would call clowning. I'm gonna go ahead and say golovkin fought a good fighter who had a significant size and speed advantage that kept him honest and not able to close the show. It was a close fight. If you had Jacob's winning that's fine, I can respect that. But saying he clowned ggg is going a bit overboard and I honestly don't think this is the beginning of the end for ggg.

Yet you had pitter-patter, air jabbing McDonnell beating Solis

GGG's jab was hard, accurate, and snapping DJ's head back. DJ did well and I can see the argument for him winning, but I thought the decision went the right way. Jacobs was flashier, but not more effective in my view...

I had Golovkin: 114-113 (with the knock down being the difference for a draw).

However, both the first two rounds were like a swing-vote, and I wouldn't argue if someone turned in the same card as me with those rounds different and found Jacobs to be the victor.

You watched the first rd three times alright; but IT WAS THE WRONG FIGHT

The first rd i saw showed Gennady repeatedly landing his hard jab on Danny's mandibule while evading incoming shots and taking the center of the ring.
Together with the 4 and 9 rds, it was one of the most easiest to score rds proving domination by GGG.

If you still want to yapp about it, i challenge you to a blow by blow recap of that rd.
