If I was GGG I'd fight one more time against BJS and then retire
Lot's of wear and tear from lots of fights and hard sparrings/training should burnout a 35 y/o fighter. If GGG could add that WBO title to his collection, he should retire and enjoy his life and say fuk y'all greedy bastards!

GGG should be smart and fuk the rest after he adds that WBO to his collection. Retire healthy, rich, undefeated and undisputed!

Nothing is more pathetic than Horse's rankings/p4p lists.Horse wrote:What a pathetic career that would be considering all of his hype.
... Actually, nothing is more pathetic than Horse's posts in general.

The media are reporting that Golovkin performed his 18th world title defence against Jacobs, which means he’s only two victories away from Bernard Hopkins’ division record of 20, and therefore, he’ll likely remain a 160lb-er for another three fights at least.
Personally-speaking, if GGG does break Hopkin’s world title defence record at 160lbs, for the sake of integrity and consistency, I won’t be able to "technically" recognise it, since he wasn’t the WBA’s most senior world champion when he made the majority of those defences and his status got elevated twice twice outside of the ring, which resulted in him eventually becoming the WBA's “Super” titleholder.
The only time GGG captured a genuine version of the world middleweight title by having fought for it inside the ring, was when he defeated David Lemieux for his IBF strap, which was only four fights ago.
Regardless, Golovkin is likely to compete in three more world title fights at 160lbs, because he wants to unify the division, defeat Canelo and also break Hopkins' title defence record, which would still be a hugely impressive accomplishment.

You'd retire 1 win shy of a record? I guess Floyd did it, but I think ggg has a few years left. Jacobs is good.

He's not Andre Ward, dude.
GGG is a real fighter
Re: If I was GGG I'd fight one more time against BJS and then retire
that is one of the most retarded thread i have ever seen.
first off, ggg aint out of his prime, he was good in the fight, only difference was, this time he had a very good opponent infront of him and no b or c class.
second, ggg should take all title and retire and not get a 10 million payday or more against canelo
third, he should not continue his winning streak and legacy to be considered an atg
this is a dumb thread

Evidently Oscar is saying if he fights in June no fight in September with canelo.

Of course, if he doesn't fight in June there will be no fight with GingerHead in September 2017.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Evidently Oscar is saying if he fights in June no fight in September with canelo.

Yup, as I've been saying he just needs to move on. The Saunders fight in June will be, by far, his biggest paycheck. Unify and cash in, fornicate Canelo.Tanzio wrote:Of course, if he doesn't fight in June there will be no fight with GingerHead in September 2017.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Evidently Oscar is saying if he fights in June no fight in September with canelo.

Fight BJS to become undisputed champ.
Then at least one more solid fight to defend all titles (Canelo, Eubank, Jacobs reamtch, Charlo)
Then retire
