I think this is one PPV I can miss, Brook is not a PPV calibre fighter and I'll save the 17 quid

Its a good fight.tony1234 wrote:I think this is one PPV I can miss, Brook is not a PPV calibre fighter and I'll save the 17 quid
But Brook headlining with "around 27,000 or 28,000" fans in a stadium and doing good numbers on PPV, I just cant see it...

That's pretty funny from Ingle. Remind me who ended up in hospital having cranio-facial career saving surgery?rio wrote:Dominic Ingle on GGG: "Kell knocked the stuffing out of him, and he wasn't the same fighter.".........whats Dom been on? He usually comes across as suit sensible and knowledgeable

Hearn needs to pull out some promotional masterstrokes for this fight.
Brook may be a PPV fighter, but this isnt a PPV fight. Spence is unknown over here, and Sheffield isnt on Liverpool, London, Manchester etc's level in terms of being a 'boxing city' in order for it to be a sell out - which in turn would drive numbers.
Will be interesting to follow the next two months.....and I expect to be sucked in as per

Looking forward to this, not really PPV worth but the undercard will be great

Did they win a genuine title in the States and then fight the undisputed champ from 2 divisions above?Ruthless-RKO wrote:He isn't, no more than Bellew.. he's the same level draw as Crolla..mickey1975 wrote:Genuinely don't think Kell is a PPV fighter.

It's a good fight but not worth 17 quid on PPV especially on Virgin as we don't even get it in HDwesshaw1985 wrote:Its a good fight.tony1234 wrote:I think this is one PPV I can miss, Brook is not a PPV calibre fighter and I'll save the 17 quid

Virgin is shite, don't do B0xnati0n in HD either. Sky pisses over Virgin any day, looking forward to going back when my Virgin contract ends as long as I get a decent deal.tony1234 wrote:It's a good fight but not worth 17 quid on PPV especially on Virgin as we don't even get it in HDwesshaw1985 wrote:Its a good fight.tony1234 wrote:I think this is one PPV I can miss, Brook is not a PPV calibre fighter and I'll save the 17 quid

Still doesn't make Kell a bigger draw than them.BigDoofus wrote:Did they win a genuine title in the States and then fight the undisputed champ from 2 divisions above?Ruthless-RKO wrote:He isn't, no more than Bellew.. he's the same level draw as Crolla..mickey1975 wrote:Genuinely don't think Kell is a PPV fighter.

Peoples opinion of the term PPV fighter is different. To me it's if all of their fights are PPV.sammy95 wrote:Hearn needs to pull out some promotional masterstrokes for this fight.

When Brook fought GGG was it because of Brook ? No it's because it was GGG coming over.
When Brook fought Gavin was it because of Brook ? No because the card was LOADED with much better fights.
To me the only PPV fighter in the UK is AJ because if he fights a knock over like Molina it's PPV. When Brook fights a knockover like Bizier it isn't.

17 sounds like a dream to me. I just spent $80 on that card last week and it was one of the more satisfying PPV's in years.

Doesn't mean he's a bigger draw.. Bellew fighting Haye was a geniune ppv fight mostly bevause of Haye..BigDoofus wrote:Did they win a genuine title in the States and then fight the undisputed champ from 2 divisions above?Ruthless-RKO wrote:He isn't, no more than Bellew.. he's the same level draw as Crolla..mickey1975 wrote:Genuinely don't think Kell is a PPV fighter.
Bellew vs. Any CW is never a ppv fight..
Brooks only ppv fight in the UK worth paying for is vs. Khan.. nd again, It's mostlt due to Khan

Re: Kell Brook vs. Errol Spence - May 27th 2017
It's definitely a high class, high stakes 50/50 big drama matchup, no complaints with PPV at all.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Errol Spence - May 27th 2017
It will do 20 k I reckon or even sell out,it will basicly be Sheffield United's end of season doo and will be promoted well by Matchroom/ Sky,on the ppv numbers I reckon it will do better than Quigg-Frampton but not as good as the Golovkin numbers, still a tidy profit for all those involvedwesshaw1985 wrote:Its a good fight.tony1234 wrote:I think this is one PPV I can miss, Brook is not a PPV calibre fighter and I'll save the 17 quid

Great matchup. Not all deliver but if the best welterweight fights keep getting made one is going to deliver.

I think this is as good as a fight that can be made at the minute. Much better year 2017 than last couple in terms of competitive fights - not that they necessarily turn out any good.Autobarn wrote:Great matchup. Didn't realize this was PPV. That's shocking. Boxing fans are mugs though, they'll pay PPV every time and sky know this

After spending so much money travelling around watching boxing, I can't wait for a big fight only 5 min walk away from my house :-).
I am considering just spending the difference on a better ticket though. Wonder how much ringside will be? After going the millennium stadium for a couple of Calzaghe fights I'm wary of spending a lot to still be seated on the pitch, the view is crap unless close by
