Re: Live boxing on TV tonight
Taylor wins in 6, that left hand he decked Joubert with was right out of the top drawer, wee half step back away from Joubert's jab then BANG(Teddy Atlas style) I thought he was excellent again, he's so sharp and quick and he mixes his punches so well, Joubert was tough and although he was visably hurt from Taylor's shots he never went down and came back fighting, Josh did take some silly shots especially to the body but overall I thought he was class again

Lots of good domestic fights at 140! Taylor, Nurse, Catterall, Davies, OHara. Whoever comes out on top of that lot will be a force to be reckoned with. Hearn said after Matthews fight he was interested in Taylor fight for O'Hara but I'm sceptical. Taylor has said he wants it so there's nowt stopping em if they want to go!

Good division. Could be first time since Hatton/Witter we have a couple of world class guys in the 140 division. Would be good if we had a Khan in there as well.

Only watched the main fight, but was happy enough with the presentationon Spike, seemed very similar to Channel 5 production level and team, is Spike some offshoot of Channel 5?

Missed the fight but just watched Easton and even though he had a tough fight for as long a season it lasted, that is a huge win! What a division super lightweight, if we don't see Catterall vs Nurse and Davies vs Taylor or Davies Jnr then I'll be gobsmacked. Easton up there too.

What did people make of the Connor Law fight? Don't wanna be one of them who talks down young prospects but thought it was a fairly odd performance. Maybe unconventional is fairer. Kept completely planting his feet in the middle of the ring, completely upright and just letting the other kid pepper him with punches, albeit with his guard up - completely stationary. Nothing getting through but a bigger puncher would have just punched straight through it. wasn't trying to draw the counter, just stood there. Fair enough against the ropes with a bit bobbing and weaving but never seen anybody apply that technique quite like it. Thought he should have jabbed more as well to set up his shots. Wouldn't care, looked a great mover when he got on his toes and threw his shots from different angles, lovely short hooks.
