light heavyweight is a tough one. Kovalev lacked of stamina, Gvozdyk is tall big LH standing 6'2 and arguably equal the puncher Kovalev is. Bertebiev just destroying everybody, so it is very hard to pick who would win between those 3 and than there is stevenson.

super middleweight has no clear 1 either. Ramirez didnt fight for 1 year. Degale and Jack are equal, so there is nobody to choose at the top spot.

welterweight, we'll find out this year. Thurman was better than Garcia. Porter and Timmy have already been beaten. Pac is past it and now Brook and Spence will fight. Spence, Brook or Thurman, one of these 3 will be the #1 thats for sure and 2017 we will find out.

Right now, I can see only four boxers, who are "simply the best" in their respective divisions :

Usyk (200)
Crawford (140)
M. Garcia (135)
Lomachenko (130)

The rest is very questionable.

Joshua
Usyk
Ward (Had him just, just beating Kovalev)
DeGale (DeGale hasn't super-impressed in a while, but I'm not that high on Ramirez)
Golovkin
Lara (barely)
Thurman
Crawford
M Garcia (would back him big over #1 Linares if they fought soon)
Lomachenko
Frampton (would back him over #1 LSC if the third fight happens soon)
Rigondeaux
Yamanaka
Inoue
Casimero
Tanaka
Menayothin (CPFm closing in, shame they apparently can't fight each other)

Pretty much what I was getting
I put Kovalev top right enough, but to mention 4 names and Ward not be on of them, isn't even good trolling
