Josh Taylor vs Warren Joubert 24th March

VERY Impressed with Taylor and the fella he was fighting was a true opponent, tough cookie, durable and willing.

Taylor was in control for the most part and impressive doing it, there were some vulnerabilities shown however, but I think it might be more down to anxious to capitalize on some of his good work and possible ending moments for his opponent, lovely finish.

But we will have to wait, I mentioned very early about Ricky Burn's straight lined movement and visible weaknesses and Billy never gave recognition of what I (and a few others) stated, but I was consistent in my observations of Burns and they proved correct.

Taylor, I think is better, but he better learn to keep composed and not leave himself open for a serious tagging, especially the first one he received which undoubtedly startled him... I feel he will prove the real deal, great for Scotland/Britain, but 'IF' this opening he sometimes left against himself isn't corrected in his own perception, then he will be in trouble as he goes on ahead.

I see a great possibility in him and I think he's the type of fighter who is honest, aware and able to be corrected.

Good atmosphere last night?

In the division domestically we have Taylor, Catterall and Davies who are receiving a lot of hype.
They are talked about as world beaters yet you'd imagine not all will be fulfilling their potential (logic dictates they'd be forced to meet at some point)

The best of the 3 for me so far is Taylor simply for the fact he's won the Commonwealth. Domestic titles give fighters a grounding and fans a true reflection of a fighters level.

The Ryan win is the best win any man has.

Good atmosphere last night?

Atmosphere was electric( I wasn't there) well it looked electric and I think that was a great wee bonus, Taylor looks like he's building up a fanbase and has a fan friendly style and also a style for the purists, I can only see the support getting bigger and better, he's starting to catch on to the wider public
