Jermell Charlo says Errol is the hardest training boxer
Jermell Charlo says Errol is the hardest training boxer
watched it on youtube. said he sparred him and although he was bigger than spence, that is going to be a problem.
for the most part he talked how hard spence is training, this combination of natural talent which es obviously has and training like a man possessed might be the final answer on who truly is the best ww in the world. this reminds me of the opposite, zab judah. elite talent, arguably more natural talent in terms of speed etc than floyd, but trained 60 %, judah training like pac or marquez, oh lord, zab would have been a top 10 atg.

Are you saying that Errol Spence Jr. has the potential to eventually become an all-time great, since you believe he has Zab Judah’s talent but with far better fitness levels?Jip wrote:watched it on youtube. said he sparred him and although he was bigger than spence, that is going to be a problem.

And you’re belief is solely supported by Spence Jr’s victory over Chris Algieri?
Aren’t you being a tad premature?

i am a expert, i dont need many fights to know that someone is special.
in terms of physic and skills errol is special, only question is chin, can he take a punch from a puncher, can he handle thurmans power. but everything else he surpasses them.
Re: Jermell Charlo says Errol is the hardest training boxer
Spence is a special talent no doubt
Re: Jermell Charlo says Errol is the hardest training boxer
What happens if Spence does not KO Brook.

What happens if Spence just gets his ass kicked and loses a legit, unanimous, wide decision?MachoTime wrote:What happens if Spence does not KO Brook.

brook is a very good boxer, no problem if spence only gets a ud. at ww brook is unbeaten so far and beating a guy like porter aint easy.

wont happen. i ll make 50 push ups if brook schools spence.

Loses a legit decision? By far the least likely of outcomes? Well then Kell finally has that 2nd legit win to go along with the laundry list of cab drivers and ass wipers.Tanzio wrote:What happens if Spence just gets his ass kicked and loses a legit, unanimous, wide decision?MachoTime wrote:What happens if Spence does not KO Brook.

I’m not going to attempt to debate this matter with you, since it’s your prerogative to boldly proclaim unproven and untested prospects as potential top-ten all-time-greats (under the caveat that the aforementioned fighter possesses a sturdy chin).Jip wrote:Enlightened-One wrote:Are you saying that Errol Spence Jr. has the potential to eventually become an all-time great, since you believe he has Zab Judah’s talent but with far better fitness levels?Jip wrote:watched it on youtube. said he sparred him and although he was bigger than spence, that is going to be a problem.

Personally-speaking, Error Spence Jr. appears to be a very decent world-class prospect, but I’m unable to propel him to the lofty position of all-time-greatness without requiring the need for validation.
I flatly refuse to grant any fighter a free pass and an honorary rite of passage to “greatness” without them having faced any quality opposition.
In my mind, a lot of fighters are capable of passing the proverbial “eyeball test”, by appearing superficially “impressive” against second-tier opposition, without having ever faced genuine talent… and in this situation, the only thing I can do is to categorise these sort of boxers as mere “prospects”.
We clearly have a different approach… and there’s nothing wrong about that.

I'm not sure you understand what "potential to eventually" means.Enlightened-One wrote:Are you saying that Errol Spence Jr. has the potential to eventually become an all-time great, since you believe he has Zab Judah’s talent but with far better fitness levels?Jip wrote:watched it on youtube. said he sparred him and although he was bigger than spence, that is going to be a problem.

Zab training like Floyd? Can you not even bring yourself to compliment the man's training?Jip wrote:watched it on youtube. said he sparred him and although he was bigger than spence, that is going to be a problem.

I know what "potential to eventually" means. Your second sentence is pretty clear that you believe the only support for Jips opinion is a win over Algieri. Potential by its very definition doesn't need support or citations, that's why it's potential and not fact.Enlightened-One wrote:I know what "potential to eventually" means. A good friend of mine from the same gym, ex marine who's had a ton of injuries that have prevented him from turning pro said Errol is the only man he's ever met that he couldn't outwork. And my expert buddy, Judah is one of the most consistent fighters of the last few decades. He maximized his talent, experts just thought there was more talent than actually existed.

I simply asked Jip to clarify his stance and then explained my own position. So calm down and relax.
I shouldn't have to supply you with the same explanation twice, should I? Unless you're trying to engage in an argument with me?

Indeed, he was always in tremendous shape. I used to hate him but the unwarranted criticism over the years has softened my stance. Why wouldn't I be calmed and relaxed? Do I seem worked up to you? I'm not, I promise. Why would I want an explanation from you? Did I ask for an explanation from you? Why would I want to engage in an argument with you? I don't want to engage in an argument with anyone.Enlightened-One wrote:I simply asked Jip to clarify his stance and then explained my own position. I simply thought I would share what the idea of potential means with you since you seemed to not understand the concept from your initial post

Re: Jermell Charlo says Errol is the hardest training boxer
So a gym buddy says the other is the hardest working guy he knows...
I said on another thread, if only I had a pound for every time I've heard that said.
The same people who rave about Spence mock Brook for not having fought anyone other than Porter. The irony is off the scale. They're probably the same who say GGG is nothing as he hasn't fought good opposition.
We'll see fight night what Spence is all about. But until then. This guy is just a prospect. Says he works hard is the same as 90% of boxers who take it seriously.

Like another father-trained fighter, Calzaghe, I imagine Judah was worked pretty hard by his pops. Yoel was a woofer type but he seemed pretty tough with it.
