We had two bleedin years of his lies about money-khan was the fight the world was holding its breath for and " people will forever wonder what would happen if Amir Khan fought floyd mayweather" than we had the money grab with canelo, than the chasing of a 79 year old manny, now hes trying to jump the queue to a underserved money fight with Mcgregor.......the guy is shameless he has been knocked out 4 times , and in a decade of fighting hes beaten a grand total of two top ten 140-147 lbs fighters..............at this point he should consider himself lucky to be in the reckoning for a brook fight but no.......khan wants the A list....but has done nothing to earn it

Re: Shameless little Khan
Can't stand the fuckin wank! Used to be a fan but he makes my teeth itch nowadays. I'd actually give McGregor a chance of sparking him. Khan would box his head off all day if he kept the head but he struggles to do that. Gets caught with daft, wild shots.
This is all we can expect from Khan until he hangs em up. Read the other day he said he wants Thurman or the Brook v Spence winner
Pull the other one Amir!

Re: Shameless little Khan
Hard to argue against this.
Khan has wasted a lot of his prime lying idle, waiting for undeserved big fights.
Amir's problem is that he thinks he is bigger than he actually is.
He needs to get back to reality because he is coming up 31 & his game is speed based & he's going to find that he doesn't have the speed he once has next time he decides to fight & he will be toast, because he doesn't have the chin nor the sturdiness to alter his style successfully.

Khan has got one of the best records in British boxing over the last decade, so slagging his record off is ridiculous.

Horse - if someone said oil was black, would you try and claim it was white?
The post was an irreverent look at Khan's recent career, which is, at best, shambolic and disjointed.

Re: Shameless little Khan
Yawn! His once promising career has became a joke. He hasn't held a world title in what? 5/6 years? In a time where Liam Smith can win a strap! Ffs! He's not nearly as good as he thinks. Fast becoming irrelevant IMO.Horse wrote:3 times.Bricks wrote:the guy is shameless he has been knocked out 4 times ,

Khan deserves far more respect than he gets. He has an excellent record.
Amir Khan
Marcos Maidana
Andriy Kotelnik
Zab Judah
Paulie Malignaggi
Devon Alexander
Luis Collazo
Lamont Peterson - (Lost)
Chris Algieri
Julio Diaz
Paul McCloskey

Bricks' attack on Khan is pathetic.

Most of them are second rate. Algieri and Diaz arguably beat him!Horse wrote:Khan shouldn't be treated irreverently.Loynesy wrote:Horse - if someone said oil was black, would you try and claim it was white?

I'm a former Khan fan
He overestimates his draw
Hearn also overestimates Khan v brook
Did not fill Sheffield last time he was in the UK
Had 2000 at his big madaina fight
McGregor is fifty times a bigger draw
His best days were all with warren

And which of these fighters do you think were in the Top 5 of their division when AK fought them? I haven't checked, but I'd guess 3.
I actually like Amir, great kid, game fighter, but well brought through.

Re: Shameless little Khan
some chance of that pal. When his own family and management team reminded him he was near the end and had suffered a brutal knockout he responded by sacking all of them and having that payday taking twaat virgin hunter telling the media "amir khan could still go down as the greatest welterweight of all time".......Khan is delusional and he and hunter are a good match, Hunter has another Khant in his stable calling himself S.O.G....Syntax Error wrote:Hard to argue against this.

Re: Shameless little Khan
I used to be a big khan fan but it was when he went Hollywood , started lying and talking of himself in the third person and fighting 3rd raters that I got fed up around after the Garcia fight id say.......a shame cos he had always had world class speed, stamina and the biggest fighting heart I have ever seen ourside muhammed ali.........very early on he seemed like he could develop into a Hearns/Arguello like puncher fast and powerful.......but it never happened much like most of his career.......I always felt he had the ability to be A List....I mean even now look at how he outboxed a huger canelo for the first 4 rounds....but he never learnt pacing, concentration and defence.....and he never had the trainers to teach him........a shame......but from a financial point of view his career has been spectacular and that's what counts for Khan
Re: Shameless little Khan
Moving the goalposts now? How many of Golovkin's opponents were top 5? About the same amount.Loynesy wrote:And which of these fighters do you think were in the Top 5 of their division when AK fought them? I haven't checked, but I'd guess 3.
Bricks' attack on Khan was wrong and so was your "Hard to argue against this." comment.
If Khan doesn't deserve respect for his record then almost no British fighters do.
Let's just sneer at all of our fighters and call them all crap.
Re: Shameless little Khan
Bricks - I can't work out if you are a genius, a speed fuelled prose writer, a bulls--r or a combination thereof. Whichever combo you think you are, or tend to be, it's a compliment.
Re: Shameless little Khan
He's wasted the prime of his career treading water and waiting for fights he's done fukk all to deserve. Instead of fighting himself in to contention he's either sat idle, fought safe opposition (and nearly lost twice) or just tried to talk himself in to a big fight. The guy is becoming more boring than you.Horse wrote:Which British fighters have a better record than Khan over the last decade?Stuarty30 wrote:Most of them are second rate. You're a Khan fanboy. I've no problem with that. Each to their own but don't spout shite and try and pass it off as fact like a pompous prick.

I am not moving any goalposts, and you brought in an unnecessary comparison with Golovkin.
You presented a list of fighters as though it was a tableau to greatness. I merely asked how well regarded they were at the time Amir fought them.
I'm not picking a fight, as I said previously, I genuinely admire Khan for his cash generation, and the times I've met him, he has been charming.
But he's not a British great.

But that is roughly the amount that most of the top 10 P4Pers have beaten.
That depends on were the line is drawn on who is great or not.Loynesy wrote:But he's not a British great.
He's certainly in the British top 100 ATG list.

It is a fact that Amir Khan is a human being; it is your opinion that he has the best record of any British fighter of the last decade.

I agree that Froch has the best resume of any British fighter in the last 10 years, by far.
