Zac Dunn V David Brophy
Zac Dunn V David Brophy
Commonwealth title at Flemington. Could be a great fight. Anyone else going?
One problem i do have is with the heavyweight tournament, so far 8 TBAs with only a week to go. And Big Bob Mirovic is on the card as well as our own Colin Wilson. Now both of these guys have given terrific service to boxing in this country but, Big Bob in particular just doesn't seem to have anything left.

8 contenders will be matched at the official weigh-in by way of a draw. Resulting in 4 eliminators, 2 semis & final.Grant wrote:Commonwealth title at Flemington. Could be a great fight. Anyone else going?

Zac Dunn is currently #5 WBC, IBF, and WBO, and a win here could open up a really big opportunity.
Re: Zac Dunn V David Brophy
Wow, stopped by a guy who had 2 KOs in 20 previous bouts.
The Bursak and Findley fights showed that Dunn was limited, but I wasn't expecting that. Congrats to Brophy.

An upset. But you are always only one punch from disaster in this game. Particularly against quality opponents.
Some interesting comments from the winner Brophy :
“With the work I’ve put in, I deserve this. Zac was tough, but we did what we were supposed to do. We watched a lot of Zac’s fights and he keeps his elbows up. When the body shots started landing, we knew it was going to be over early.”

Don't know how Zac got through the 6th round. It was always going to end in the 7th.

That was a good, entertaining scrap.
Thank you to the person who provided that video.

Re: Zac Dunn V David Brophy
He got hurt with body shots early and just never recovered. Not a bad scrap by watching that footage. It's only his first loss so hopefully he can bounce back from that. The same with Rocky Jerkic.
