Stiverne Whyte Wilder

Post by LasPalmas »

Seems like Stiverne and Whyte is in the works... seemed like Stiverne was intent on getting his mandatory, but if he is taking whyte fight surely his team must of been informed by Wilder team that Wilder IS going for unification and he will have to wait. I will be very disappointed if Wilder ends up fighting bellew or any one else for that matter that is not holding a belt. Surely he must be waiting for Parker/Fury. In which case great if Parker wins, but if Fury wins, Peter fury surely won't chuck his son straight into the wilder fight, and will want to make at least one or two voluntary/mandos? :brick:

Wilder will likely fight another journeyman, someone fragile like Wawrzyk.

I agree Wilder will fight a guy whose name it's likely I'll be unable to spell or pronounce (cue jokes on my spelling etc  )

But seriously his reign since winning hasn't been much. I think he's due a test

He didn't dare to fight Wawrzyk and did the same trick to him as he did with Povetkin. That's also why it was so odd that he did want to fight ped user Stiverne, who's still a bum anyway and will lose his fight against Whyte, if that fight ever happens.

A black one? I still think he doesn't even deserve an icon like that, but good luck!

I cannot imagine any world-ranked Hwt being scared to face Wawrzyk not even the empty oil-drum that is Wilder. C'mon asdfjki I mean I like a conspiracy theory as much as the next man, but let's at least try to keep it within the bounds of credibility. Wawrzyk wouldn't beat Stiverne either.

Stiverne against Whyte would be a great match-up but unless he's being paid handsomely to step aside, why would Stiverne risk his mandatory position as challenger?

Stiverne is absolute trash lol, he had 2 lucky wins against that overweight junk called Arreola back in 2014 and an undeserved and unfair "win" against Derric Rossy (of all people?!). I have no clue why people think he's any good. This might become his first victory ever against a European, but ofcourse, it won't.

Well I suppose the answer to that is that he remains Wilder's toughest opponent to-date and (if Wilder, Haymon, and the WBC have anything to do with it - and they do have everything to do with it) is likely to remain so for the foreseeable.

Also Arreola has been a spent force for a while now, but at the time Stiverne's victories actually meant something. I was going to say it's a pity Stiverne has been content to sit on his laurels (I'd loved to have seen him fight Povetkin) but he's been gifted a totally undeserved title shot so it would be hard to convince him that he would have been better off staying active.

I'd still put him in or just out of the top ten though.

I can see Wilder fighting Bellew, simply because he is in a Rocky film. That kind of exposure, which has nothing to do with actual fighting, is ideal for a Wilder opponent. Ironically, given the plot of the film, they may insist that he changes his name to Pretty Ricky Conlan.
