Marco Huck vs Mairis Briedis

Post by handsofstone »

This Saturday on NoxBation and now for the vacant WBC Cruiserweight title as Bellew has been made champion Emertius :-?

Still who cares this is ANOTHER superb CW fight between 2 hard hitting fun to watch guys, I haven't seen much of Briedis apart from the Charr KO and the Vallily fight he had over here on Bomber's undercard but he's been making waves for a wee while now and he looks your typical fun cruiser

I thought Huck looked like he'd lost a bit of his devil in the Kucher fight but then again his careers been full of up and down performances and I'm probably being a bit harsh as I had him winning the fight quite comfortably which is a solid win, can he turn the clock back again and become world champ yet again

To be honest if this was any other division i'd heavily favour the young undefeated pup Briedis but seeing as its the ever unpredidctable Cruiserweight division I'm gonna go for for Huck to pull off a shock come from behind KO

Anybody remember Bredis in that unlicensed prizefighter thing called "Biggers Better" in Cyprus quite a few years ago now? Banger! :bag:

Briedis and Huck are the same age. The latter has a lot more miles on the clock though.

Breidis for the win. Gotta love a guy with a punch like a traction engine.

Looking forward to this. Any details of the undercard? Checked the other day and all that was showing was one women's fight. Wasn't expecting much but surely there must be a few other fights on?

Yeah both turned 32 this year or late last year for Huck. However, like I was saying Briedis probably is the younger man when it comes to boxing years and just general wear and tear on the body.

Must be other fights on you'd think. Looking forward to the main event regardless. Huck is usually good value. Lot of miles on the clock though.

Basically full WBC championship. Bellew won't be facing either of these.
Great fight. Huck arguably had as many wars as anyone in world boxing.
I favour Briedis but Huck is one of the fighters you should never write off.

This could very well be fight of the year... Huge test for both. I've rated Bredis extremely highly since the Bigger's betters days - but this is about a step up of about 3 levels.

Hard fight to pick, I am a big fan of Huck but I am wanting Breidis to win this as it would be nice to see the Cruiserweights entering a new era with Usyk and Breidis.

I think I'll pick Briedis to get the stoppage victory. Prime for prime I'd pick Huck but I think wear and tear has caught up with him and his chin has started to decline.

I really hope Briedis can deliver on the promise. Then we have another top man in the division and a chance for an exciting encounter with Usyk. Huck is the test and I want a big fat Briedis KO.

A top class fight, this one. It will be great entertainment.

I favour Briedis but Huck seems to have a way of breaking down fighters late in his fights with his wild action. Can't wait.

Huck's odds on points or KO are great. However I favour Breidis, could well be a statement.

I saw it on Eurosport back in the day. I don't remember it as a robbery, but as a close, rather uneventful, fight which could have gone either way.

Well looking forward to this now :bag:

Initially I was tipping Briedis but as I mentioned in the OP I have a sneaky feeling Huck will clip him then finish him, still I'm expecting a fun affair

Wumin's boxing on now, shouldn't they be in the kitchen, bedroom or something sexist like that?
