Seriously, has there ever been a bigger let down?
Were you unfamiliar with Money May’s fighting style before you watched the Mayweather-Pacquiao super-fight?

Did you expect that contest to be the second coming of Gatti-Ward?
Pac has lost hi full speed and relentless ferocity - Floyd knew he had to avoid Pac at his best and still had to be coerced to fight Pac two years ago by Les moonves - The Pac of 2011 would have killed floyd KILLED chicken shi7 floyd :TU:

That fight wasn't even a letdown to me. It went exactly the way I thought it would. I don't know why anyone ever expected anything else from that fight than what we got personally.

Floyd was well established by then, people should've known what they were paying for when they pay that kinda money. If people bought that fight expecting a slugfest they're morons.
I understand that. But, a whole lot of casual fans tuned in for that garbage as well. More so for this fight than any other fight in history. The backlash this fight caused was historic. This is why it is the biggest let down in the history of the sport.
I accurately predicted the final score before the fight happened; I watched it with 4 of my buddies who were all new to boxing...none of them follow the sport anymore

Floyd and AH knew they had to duck Pac and they knew they could Fix all Floyd's fights for EZ $$ - Floyd and AH rigged Floyd's career and got lucky Pac slowed down and they rigged the judges to give the fight to Floyd before it even started - that's why Floyd boxed the way he did - he KNEW the judges were bought off :TU: :TU: Floyd took no risks and did not try to win the fight decisively - he tried to last the distance and not get caught because he knew the fix was IN :TU: :TU:

Apologies, outsmarted by phone.

Technically, it doesn't matter how you win the rounds. One punch/touch more than your opponent will do it. Calzaghe slapped his way to victory on many an occasion. Such was the the speed of his punches only by stopping him could you hope to win.

With 12 rounds scoring is a bigger issue than 15.
In the amateurs it often gets ridiculous. In fact the amateurs is a good place to try out new scoring systems. Would be interesting to know how many pro fights go to scorecards compared to 25 years ago.

Nice Video.

As for mayweather, terrifically skilled fighter and undoubtably the best fighter of the generation, probably taking the mantle from Roy.

What disappoints me with mayweather is that he's always too blatant picking his opponents, there's always a catch. Ie canelo but at 152, pacquaio but 5 years after he looked a real fight for him and had been kod by Marquez, could have fought cotto when he was on top etc. It leaves a bad taste. He'd still be favourite to win them fights but there's no risk. I speak post oscar when he became the man p4p

I appreciate his skills but draw similarities between him and Wlad. Basically Wlad bored the heavy division for years and Mayweather, although incredibly more gifted boxer, did the same in his chosen division. But he doesn't care about entertainment or the fans, just money and winning so it's mission achieved from him. It's a shame ray Leonard or Hearns weren't around at welter to kick his ass though he'd never fight them. Or Duran at lightweight.

He's the fighter of his generation but his negativity hurts his overall standing for me
