GGG vs Jacobs = Wladimir K. vs Bryant Jennings as sign of declining ?

Post by apollo creed »

It sounds crazy but Wlad had a long K.O streak before the Jenings fight then when he fought Fury, Wlad god outboxed. In case of Golovkin could the fight against Jacobs be a solid sign of declining and if GGG will fight Saunders, then he will get outboxed by Saunders and lose ? It could be a wrong parallel but who knows. Styles make fights.

Fury was a step up from Jennings, but Saunders is a step down from Jacobs. Fury also possessed a very unusual combination of size and awkwardness...

You could be right, but I hope you were wrong.

Or it could be a sign of an injury. Klit could also have chronic injuries at his age though.

I think Jacobs is a much tougher contender to deal with than Jennings for one thing. I don't think GGG has declined much if at all, Jacobs is just a solid contender that is capable of holding his own against any Middleweight and he held his own against the Middleweight King.

Give Jacobs credit, he's a legit contender. It doesn't always have to be "He's slipping" or whatever that a great champion has a tough night, sometimes the other guy is just that good that he gave him all he could handle. I tend to think that's the case here.

I look forward to seeing how both GGG and Jacobs look going forward.

Sure, and Mayweather Castillo was a sign of Floyd declining.

In time this win could be seen as better than it is right now. Jacobs impressed me. Nobody can knock every opponent out. I hope to see more of ggg at the top level I don't golden boy to win the waiting game

I could see Jacobs and Lemiuex dominating the mw division.
