Could Canelo do a better job against Jacobs than GGG ?

It'll be a boring one, a bit like Jacobs/Truax. Jacobs wins it wide. Horrific style matchup for Canelo.

Jacobs doesn't even make it to the 6th round agains Canelo. Canelo will not give him the respect and space that GGG gave him. Canelo is quicker than GGG too and he's bound to make spaghetti legs out of Jacobs.

I think that the best fight to make in the world right now is Canelo vs. Spence Jr. I hope to one day see it when both guys still have some prime to expend. I think that they will be #1 and #2 P4P fighters within the next year and will remain in that position for several years like Manny and Floyd did.

Canelo by stoppage. I didn't tell Canelo would beat GGG. It would be very questionable.

TBH, I think the Jacobs that fought GGG probably stops Canelo late, or wins 8 rounds to 4 and loses a split decision.

What the hell are you smoking? Canelo has quicker hands than GGG, but his feet are on cement. He won't get to Jacobs at all.

Exactly. Remember how Canelo was following Lara like a confused puppy. The difference is that Jacobs will be countering harder than Lara.

Jacobs has proved his class. He's also massive at the weight. No way Alvarez fights him. This fight only happens on forums.

If it happened Jacobs wins.

Sorry, I can not agree. Would you rewatch Pirog-Jacobs ? Jacobs has a rather weak chin. I admit he is top 5 MW right now, but against Canelo he has very slim chance.

Except Canelo is nowhere near Pirog skill wise, and Danny's chin looked way better in the Golovkin fight when he cut weight with a help of a nutritionist.

I doubt that any fighter can improve his chin. Simply, you have a weak chin, or not...Nutritionist and chin ? Excuse me, but I can not see any kind of connection...

When you cut a lot of weight quickly, it weakens you including punch resistance. Seems obvious.

Generally speaking I think that I was right (every fighter has weak chin, or not) but in this specific case - I admit that you are right. :TU:

Indeed that 'weak chin effect' may come after you cut off fast and reckless weight. Jacobs may have a good chin when he cuts off weight proprely with the help of a nutritionist. He took some solid shots from GGG and he didn't get KTFO'd.

Jacobs isn't exactly Lara here. Jacobs will stand and throw with Canelo and if he does, he's going to sleep. The Canelo now is MUCH better than the Canelo that stunk up the joint against Lara. In every single way..power, speed and footwork. Open your eyes man.

You really think Canelo will be able to overcome the gigantic reach and height advantage? Also, I'm laughing at you thinking Jacobs will sit in the pocket. Canelo will get jabbed to death. Canelo didn't even hurt tiny Cotto, but you think he's going to KO Jacobs who took Golovkin 12? Put whatever your smoking down, man.

Honestly man, I think Canelo is pumping in some PEDS now. To me, he looks like a completely different person since the Lara fight. He's ripped up, faster hand speed and his power has become very dangerous. I get your point, he didn't knock out Cotto after landing some big shots. But his last two KO were pretty spectacular (Khan to sleep with one shot and a body shot to KO Smith). Not many people win a world title on a body shot.

I don't think it's natural though and I'm not a fan of Canelo, just my opinion. I think he saw how bad he was in that Lara fight and how embarrassingly slow he looked and that's when i think people decide to cheat. When their backs are against the wall. I hope that i'm wrong.

GBP has been matching Canelo very well post-Lara/Trout. This is all hype. Jacobs is too much for him. Stylistically, it's a horrific fight for Canelo.

Honestly, I wouldn't put it past Monroe Jr. to dominate Canelo either. Monroe Jr. and Jacobs are just stylistic nightmares for Canelo. Canelo does matchup a lot better with GGG and Lemieux, though.

A middleweight putting Khan to sleep isn't impressive. Jacobs would've done the same thing.
