This is the first time I've ever seen an official from one of the main four governing bodies appear disgusted at the judges scorecards.
The referee, Marcus McDonnell, shook his head in outrage at the 120-108 and 118-110 scorecards of the WBO officials, which were far too wide. He even appeared to have strong discussions with his colleagues immediately after the decision was announced.
Flanagan deserved his victory, but he appeared to lose at least four rounds.

8-4 for me
On the undercard, Williams being ahead just by 1 was nonsense

Re: Flanagan vs. Petrov Scorecards
What about the utter incompetence in Smith vs Williams card ? The cut which caused Williams corner to withdraw was caused by a headbutt, but ref and judges ignored that ???

Re: Flanagan vs. Petrov Scorecards
It should have been about 116-112 for Flanagan.
The judge who scored it 120-108 is a disgrace to the sport.
