Adonis Stevenson is 39 years old. He's going to be washed up soon and lose to a nobody.

Why doesn't he just cash out against Kovalev or Ward and stop making a fool of himself?

Surely even Adonis must be embarrassed by this point in time. Needless to say, I'm hoping Andrzej takes this one.

Their first fight was entertaining and with Adonis getting old Fonfara might be able to get score an upset this time.
At this point any reasonable person should have given up on Adonis fighting a Kovalev or Ward. Adonis doesn't even have the sack to fight Pascal ffs. Sooner or later he's going to get beat by someone who is not a Kovalev or Ward and maybe that guy will be willing to fight other top light heavyweights.

Fonfara isn't a world beater but comes to fight and has been in a lot of entertaining fights. I hope he puts an end to the Stevenson reign of mediocrity and refuses a rubber match afterwards.
For a guy who has never won a world title himself Fonfara has beaten a lot of former world title holders. Byron Mitchell, Glen Johnson, Gabriel Campillo, Julio Cesar Chavez jr, Nathan Cleverly and Chad Dawson.

Sergey Kovalev turned down a guaranteed opportunity to face Adonis Stevenson, so his little WWE-style theatrical performance looks a bit silly when you consider that fact.

His team pulled him out of the purse bids for that fight.

His team ducked the fight and I can't remember Kovalev complaining.

Stevenson didn't pull out.

We're talking about Kovalev here. If you think Kovalev ducked Stevenson you're mental. There was obviously a lot of red tape in the way of a potential fight between the two. Unless you were present at negotiations then you don't know what went on. Kovalev comes across the type who'll fight anyone and Stevenson is fighting BLevel fodder. I know who I'm more inclined to believe but whatever floats your boat.

The fact remains is that Kovalev had a guaranteed shot at Adonis Stevenson and he declined the fight.

Ignore this fact if it distresses you so much, but the reality of the situation is that Sergey refused the fight.

You can keep telling lies if it makes you feel more comfortable about the situation.

Who's telling lies? Stop talking wet. Were you present at the negotiations? Two rival networks, politics, red tape etc etc... Taking all that out of the equation and looking at the two people who matter, the fighters, I know who I'd believe. Stevenson doesn't seem interested in facing anyone relevant and this fight against Fonfara proves that. More nonsense from the pimp. Ffs the guys nearing the end of his career and he doesn't seem interested at all.

Why didn't they go to purse bids and pull out if they lost?

Is that not allowed?

Kovalev has been fighting much better opposition than Stevenson, but he still turned down the chance to get him in the ring when he had it.

Does Kovalev deny pulling out of the fight?

He had his chance and he blew it.

I have absolutely no idea and neither do you. If you think Kovalev ducked Stevenson then you're a lunatic. Kovalev obliterate him no worries. Doesn't exactly strike you as the type to back away from anyone does he?
