Dirty Judges at Flanagan's fight.
Dirty Judges at Flanagan's fight.
Fu.ck you both Mikael Hook and Zoltan Enyedi. Where do they take these 120-108 and 118-110 from? Where did they learn how to be a judge? Don't know how to score a boxing match?. Never the fight would end with this kind of result, minimum 116-112. Flanagan won, but it wasn't easy as these 2 pieces of sh.it scored. Ask Dave Moretti, Steve Weisfeld, Glenn Feldmann or Burt Clements (just to say) if they would score this shame result. Petrov did well in most rounds, going forward, defending, evading, punching accurate thus being the first good boxer to "shake" Flanagan well, as good as him even being less in stature. This fight should be cancelled, it is an absurd and a shame for boxing judging. .I.

You can still lose every round despite being very competitive in each round.
In this case though I agree that Petrov did actually win some rounds. Maybe 3. He was competitive in every round though.

I know this buddy, I studied how to judge and score a boxing match. I follow boxing judging for a decade.forcefraser wrote:You can still lose every round despite being very competitive in each round.

So then you'll know that being competitive in every round is not the same as winning rounds, hence a wide scorecard in this fight.

Also, the referee was letting Flanagan hold a lot, and was stopping the action whenever Petrov had him on the ropes.
But I've come to expect such shady officiating during an "allegedly" boxing event.
Re: Dirty Judges at Flanagan's fight.
Couldn't be worse... Marcus McDonell is a dirty SOB referee that tends to protect English boxers and let them do illegal things and ignore most of it. To not say his bitch protection to Lee Selby vs Eric Hunter, a total absurdity, he intended to desmoralize Hunter and Hunter stood in a like "wtf am I doing wrong?!?! and him??" and worked, he finished the fight so down that was obvious the manipulation by pressure from McDonell worked.Freedom2013 wrote:You are absolutely right.imaioral wrote:Fu.ck you both Mikael Hook and Zoltan Enyedi. Boxing and it's sh.it referees and judges (at least 1/4 of all)

Some good English refs, some poor. Hunter only has himself to blame in that fight. He mentally swallowed.
No country is exempt from this stuff. Joe Cortez may as well have been mayweather corner man in the Hatton fight. Mayweather tie up, ref separates and gives distance, mayweather tees off from range

Cortez really excelled himself in the Hatton fight. It was a huge fight and he 'handled' Hattons momentum very 'professionally'. The sign of a true master of his art.Ossyrules wrote:Some good English refs, some poor. Hunter only has himself to blame in that fight. He mentally swallowed.

He deserved at least half of the winners purse.
