10-9 Lomassiah

90-81 Lomassiah

Good win. Expected. I am actually just as impressed with Sosa's toughness.
Credit where it's due

He wasn't finished... just well beat

Lost in the Lomassiah worship are the Gvozdyk and Usyk performances.

Gvozdyk was the most impressive boxer on the night, imo. He faced the same level fighter as did Lomassiah (tough though limited boxer who had never been stopped) and utterly dismantled him in short order.

Usyk faced (by far) the toughest task of the evening against a surprisingly tough and skilled Hunter. Usyk won going away but Hunter revealed to me that Usyk is not yet the juggernaut that people have claimed on here. He has work to do to prove that he is the best cruiser, let alone going to HW and dominating.

Great show last night that was stolen by Gvozdyk.

Whom do you think is better at Cruiser than Usyk? I think it's unanimous among boxing fans that Usyk is the best Cruiser.

I like Dorticos, not saying he's better, but I'd like to see that fight.

Gassiev would beat crap out of Usyk. I am not even sure that Usyk beats Lebedev and Briedis. Dorticos is a bit unknown too, and destroying Shumenov won't clear things up.

   Who has Gassiev beat? Easy to look good when you don't have any return fire coming your way. Usyk will make Gassiev look like a turtle. Lebedev?   None of the people you have named will beat Usyk and if you want to make a wager when and if they fight please let me know as I would be more than happy to take money from you.

Who did Usyk beat? A mediocre Polish guy? What is your confidence based on? He didn't look good yesterday.

When the time comes I hope you will back up your confidence then. I am totally confident that Usyk will beat any of the people you named and I will back it with a monetary or other type bet.

It is obviously not unanimous. Usyk is a very good boxer but he has not in any way done enough to warrant being gifted victories over Gassiev, Briedis, Dorticos or for that matter Lebedev. Your dismissal of an entire weight class based on a good but competitive victory over Hunter (a nearly total unknown prior to last night) and an impressive victory over Glowacki, who was clearly losing to Huck, is premature to put it politely.

I have him at #1, but I agree that he shouldn't be considered a foregone winner against the other top guys.
