Even though Shumenov may not have deserved the decisions, he has gone the distance with world-class boxers at the time such as Campillo, Hopkins, and Flores. Dorticos' resume has hardly any wins against world-class opponents. It is an interesting matchup, but I think Shumenov's experience against better opposition will be the difference.boxing_rocks wrote:You said it all demonstrating total incompetence. Dorticos knocked out all of his opponents except Edison Miranda which Dorticos won by decision. Dorticos has not fought anyone good. I think Shumenov is going to win. There is video of Dorticos on YouTube. I watched the highlights. He knocks out a lot of boxers, but they are not world-class.

Kalenga stopped by Dorticos would smash Shumenov. Shumenov was the only KD by Hopkins since 2008! Campillo's KO ratio is under 50%.RScarf1 wrote:Even though Shumenov may not have deserved the decisions, he has gone the distance with world-class boxers at the time such as Campillo, Hopkins, and Flores. I think that it is a legit step up for Dorticos that he will pass.RScarf1 wrote:Even though Shumenov may not have deserved the decisions, he has gone the distance with world-class boxers at the time such as Campillo, Hopkins, and Flores. Flores world class? No...
Guapo and Hop were, but is gong the distance with them really a notable achievement? And Shumenov deserved about 5 rounds out of 24 between the Campllo rematch and Hop fight.
At CW I rate Kalenga higher than Shumenov

Flores was world-class at the time, but I know he is not any longer. Considering that Dorticos defeated Kalenga by TKO, I guess you feel that Dorticos will do the same to Shumenov.crusader wrote:Flores world class? No...

Gassiev-usyk
Good fight

Re: Usyk's rather average
I had Lebedev winning against Gassiev. I reckon Gassiev could win a rematch more clearly. For me, Lebedev is an excellent fighter. Tough, powerful and crafty, very hard to beat. Gassiev has bone breaking power and a good chin. He needs to throw more and set up his power shots better.
Usyk looks great at times but I also see what others are saying about him, clumsy and slappy occasionally. I don't see Usyk moving up in weight successfully.
Btw, has anyone noticed the amount and size of the spots on Gassiev? In all honesty I've seen that only on steroid users.

Did I say that? Looks like I didn't say that and the measure of a fighters prime or decline isn't traditionally measured by how long someone thinks they would last against Gassiev. All that being said, Huck is crafty with a pretty good chin. How are you so sure he wouldn't last twelve when seven fighters much less talented than him already have?boxing_rocks wrote:Are you seriously saying that Huck would last 12 rounds against Gassiev ?punchoutsb wrote:This. One point up. Gassiev obviously landed the harder shots, Lebedev outboxed him in more rounds. It was close.boxing_rocks wrote:Even Russian commentators didn't have Lebedev winning against GassievTomasino wrote:I had Lebedev winning against Gassiev. You think so. Russians don't. Gassiev if from Osetiya. It is not as "bad" as Chechnya or Dagestan, but when a guy from Caucasus fights a real Russian, most of the public sides with the latter.Tanzio wrote:They are both Russians.boxing_rocks wrote:Even Russian commentators didn't have Lebedev winning against GassievTomasino wrote:I had Lebedev winning against Gassiev. I am acutely aware of the racism and prejudice demonstrated by "real Russians" given that I lived there for years and that a "real Russian" resides next to me in bed every night (that I am home).boxing_rocks wrote:You think so. Thank you for pointing it out though, since if I had the PutinHeads would have descended upon me like flies on a dacha outhouse.

On what basis was Flores world class? Losing 8-9 rounds to old Danny Green? What are Flores's best three wins and when did he get them?RScarf1 wrote:Flores was world-class at the time, but I know he is not any longer. As for the second sentence, I think Kalenga is better than blown up Miranda too, yet Dorticos came from behind to stop the former and comfortably outpointed the latter. It's not as simple as fighter A stopped fighter B, and fighter B is better than fighter C, so fighter A will stop fighter C
