Feels like both these fighters are always getting disruptions.Feel like Kennedy is always getting opponents drop out on them and waiting and Askin is always getting injuries at the worst possible times and having to pull out.

Genuinely cant pick a winner,I like Kennedys movement and could see it being tricky for Askin to pin down but then I think Askins strength and improvements in his power will be too much for Kennedy.Really different styles here,could be a belter!

Big joe pinned him down with a peach of a right hand,just didn't have the stamina to finish the job off.
Anyway Matty's hand is fine and will be looking to continue his good run of form and pick up the British title.

Craig Kennedy has had his next fight rescheduled.

The Welshman, who campaigns at cruiserweight, will fight for the vacant British title next month.

Kennedy (16-0, 8 KOs) is the IBF Inter-Continental titlist and was originally set to face Matty Askin for domestic honours on March 11.

Askin, however, pulled out of the fight with a hand injury and Stephen Simmons stepped in for the first date.

But then the show, which was set to be aired on Channel 5, was scrapped altogether by Cyclone Promotions after ‘Simbo’ withdrew from the fight.

Hopefully this finally goes ahead. Was looking forward to it since it was first announced. Fancy Askin to take it on points.

This fights happening on Friday(Spike/Channel 5) should be a cracker, I'm tipping Askin to win a fun one, he's got the experience from being in with the likes of Glowacki, McKenzie, Dickinson and coming off a great win over McCarthy who I rate highly, he's guilty of spoiling and holding but is a tough fighter who finds a way to win, Kennedy's still unbeaten got a couple of wins over Camacho and had that slug out the Djeko which will stand him in good stead for future tough fights but even though he's got home advantage I still reckon Askin wins it

Matty askin's a proper fighter. Seems to learn from his defeats, takes them on the chin and pushes on again. This is another hard one for him, think he'll just sneak it. Don't think it'll be much of a spectacle.

Looking forward to this. Selby on the undercard as well as Fred Evans debut. Good little weekend of boxing this weekend. A Friday fight is always a wee bonus

I agree with you mate. I fancy Askin to grind out the win. His experience should tell in the later rounds. Both tough guys so I'm expecting a long battle.

Bit gutted I might miss this one, four fights I have an interest in there. Will be at Rainton Meadows to see some of the best the North East has to offer.

I rate Askin highly. See him winning this clearly around 116-112 and 117-111.

He lost a razor thin fight with McKenzie who drew a world title fight shortly after.

Askin might just be a level above.
