One of the clear mistakes in the promotion of the Fury Wlad rematch was the over-estimation of the UK general public's appetite for the rematch. I know we have plenty on here waxing lyrical about Fury's performance but wider consensus among casual fans was that it was a dismal fight. Wlad obviously comes with a hefty price tag, but the cost of hiring Wembley was never going to be covered by Fury's bang average ticket sales. Therefore to make it work it needed to fill an arena at top whack prices.
Good points I forgot about that. Not sure why they didn't just agree to do it in Germany again. And yes, I think it was the worst fight I've seen, with the exception of Malik Scott vs Ortiz
