Andre Ward refused to fight Sergey Kovalev with neutral judges

Post by Freedom2013 »

Kathy Duva: "We wanted to go to them and ask for neutral officials, that's something I asked for, but Andre Ward would have none of that,'' stated Duva, who explained that by 'neutral', any judge not from the United States or Russia.

That is obviously true. I would be really surprised if Ward agreed with judges from other countries. Nevada Athletic Commission would likely have an issue with that too.

Kovalev shouldn't rely on judges anyway. No illusions. Seek and destroy. Go, Krusher !

"We're in business, Nevada was the right place for the fight. It is the place where we'll do the most money on that weekend. That's the weekend we were given and all good business sense told us to go to Nevada. Their rules are that the commission selects the officials."
They know exactly what they're doing saying and putting out such a thing.

Preparing for that second loss.

The only excuse Kovalev will need this time would be apologizing for sending Ward into a hospital.

So why put out this nonsense? Ward didn't refuse shit, he has no choice. Nevada choose the judges.

The nationality of the judge is irrelevant. It's the integrity that matters.

No, they just want a fair shake.

Ward had home country advantage for all his Super Six fights and nearly all USA officials as well. He and his handlers know he not really so good, he needs home officials for an unfair advantage and needs to use illegal, dirty tactics to win.

Why are you such a big supporter of Andre Ward? He's not an exciting boxer too watch and he's not from the same country as you are.

It is really hard to keep integrity if you turn on TV or read news from major sources. Some very smart people work on indoctrinating you everywhere in the world.

I'm not, I think Ward has been the most disappointing fighter for years. I can just see through promoter nonsense. If the commission choose they literally cannot agree for non-American or neutral judges between the two parties. It's simply not up for debate, and they're putting this out for a reason, it's quite transparent.

Life is not fare. Kovalev learned that lesson when he was in Russia, but then good life in America and his success relaxed him. He got his reminder in November. Now he should not rely on fairness and just do his job so that even if it goes 12 rounds, there are no doubts who won.

Bob Arum got them to use a neutral judge for Pacquiao-Bradley II (they originally chose three Americans). But Top Rank is an influential promoter, Main Events not so much.

They used two Americans and one Canadian.

Yes, he needs to stop Ward to win.

But it won't be easy - Ward uses a lot of negative stuff and illegal tactics, and he'll have a referee on his side.

It's just amusing, if a judge was buyable do you really think he or she would give a damn where the boxer was from?

Yes, they originally were going to have 3 US judges, but Arum persuaded them to use at least one from a neutral country. It was going to be a ref from the UK but when he got sick just before the fight, they brought in the Canadian.

So Main Event just need to petition the commission then. Though it's curious as there was three American judges for the third fight between Pac and Bradley, his kicking up a stink about American judges seems retrospectively as political as this does.

Probably not, but Roc Nation has a lot more money than Main Events.

Ward's manager James Prince is a shady guy. Once he sent some thugs to beat up poor old Leonard Ellerbe and put him in hospital.

"Ellerbe can tell you about when a couple of guys came up in Top Rank's gym and they was taking two to three weeks to scrub blood out of the stains of the carpet that was in there. " - Bernard Hopkins

Roc Nation couldn't care less about boxing.

What I am saying, they don't even have to be buyable. It is enough to be indoctrinated or "patriotic" in a certain sense of this word.

The worst is to seek an apology to the judges.

This is just pre-fight horse shit, casting doubt and reminded everyone they think they got ripped off before. Kovalev got his wish, a rematch, and he couldn't finish last time he won't get a finish this time either.

it wont matter where the judges are from. Ward will win a rematch quite comfortably.
