Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
Re: Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
I haven't watched either BJS or Eubank fight in years. I think the last time I bothered watching either of them was when Eubank beat Spike and BJS beat Andy Lee (which was a terrible fight). They both just talk and talk and fight embarrassing opponents, they've both BLATANTLY swerved GGG and they're both pudenda. BJS is more of a pub bully unpleasant pudendum and Jnr is more a spoilt arrogant deluded pudendum. BJS has at least been honest about ducking GGG until he's old, and he has the win over Eubank, so he's above Eubank for me. But that doesn't mean I like him. And I used to like both fighters. They're just wasting away their careers. As a British boxing fan, I find them both a bit of an embarrassment to be honest.
I've always liked Kessler- good solid honest fighter who's fought the best- and so if it happens I hope he smashes Eubank to bits.

Re: Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
Yeah the potential is definitely there & fair play to them for that but for me they are messers they don't have intentions on doing anything serious and Snr is currently ruining more things than enough for Jnr at the minute. Talk is cheap and good intentions come ten a penny

That's just excuses.smiling assassin wrote:Eubank jr is fringe world class at a push and that's a compliment considering who he has boxed. BJS is a world class operator in the ring but out of it (lifestyle wise) definitely not. The fight with Eubank jr was only as close as it was is because Saunders gasses badly in fights and Eubanks fitness is second to none. Skill wise they are light years apart. If Saunders lived the life he would beat Eubank 120-108 6 days a week and twice on Sundays.
Being fit and having stamina is a boxing attribute. That it was close because BJS gasses means nothing. It was close as the fighters are fairly even, albeit different attributes.
It's like saying Carl Froch is European standard if he didn't have a jaw.
Re: Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
We have no idea what this version of Kessler has left, I am not sure I would like to see this to be honest because if he has declined over his retirement period, Eubank could simply be too fast and too mobile for him and I could see him being peppered all night by shots which whilst perhaps not knocking him out can still cause damage to a fighter. Not for me this fight until Kessler shows against someone of a lower level what he has left.

Re: Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
Even a shopworn Kessler gives Jnr fits. Why do you want to see Kessler in with some nobody you've never heard of just to get a win under his belt? I bet you wouldn't even bother to stream it. Let him come back and fight Jnr and make a bit of money. It's a decent fight. I don't get why we have to have a couple of crappy fights against cans first. I don't watch those fights. What's the point?GlobalBox wrote:We have no idea what this version of Kessler has left, I am not sure I would like to see this to be honest because if he has declined over his retirement period, Eubank could simply be too fast and too mobile for him and I could see him being peppered all night by shots which whilst perhaps not knocking him out can still cause damage to a fighter. I think Saunders made it hard for himself and would have won a shutout if he was fitter.dirk2686 wrote:Saunders is decent - nothing spectacular. For all Eubank acts the twat I think he beats Kessler.

Fully agree with what your saying but I don't see it as a excuse, it's my opinion. We all know BJS doesn't or didn't live the life and my opinion is that effects him in his fights.Ossyrules wrote:That's just excuses.smiling assassin wrote:Eubank jr is fringe world class at a push and that's a compliment considering who he has boxed. Re: Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
I wouldn't mind that either, but it should have happened years ago. When Froch-Kessler 3 was first mooted, nobody was very excited about it which was a shame because the first two were both corkers and they match up well.Oiky wrote:Would much rather see a 3rd Froch fightGlobalBox wrote:We have no idea what this version of Kessler has left, I am not sure I would like to see this to be honest because if he has declined over his retirement period, Eubank could simply be too fast and too mobile for him and I could see him being peppered all night by shots which whilst perhaps not knocking him out can still cause damage to a fighter. I suppose the pressure was on Carl to fight GGG or Degale and he'd had enough hard fights. I think he retired at the right time. I think it's a shame Kessler is coming back to be honest, but if he does I don't think fighting the likes of Eubank Jnr is exactly him jumping straight in with the best and getting a hiding, is it?

He isn't, and neither is saunders, despite the paper title he holds.Oiky wrote:if you watch the fight properlyworld ranked wrote:He fought on even terms with the guy you claim is world class pretty simple. you will see many times jnr was made to look stupid, many times he was left wanting
madness you are suggesting eubank jnr is world level

Whatever their level, it's obviously the same one.

If eubank started the pace earlier would he have got the nod?
Both are meaningless as it didn't happen
We can't say BJS wasn't fit for this fight, as he has a history of dropping off the output late.
All we can take it BJS has better ring craft and fundamentals, eubank is physically better, and it was a close fight
Re: Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
Yeah I'd favour Eubank if they got it on again. Saunders was fuckin awful last time out against the Russian bloke.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Oiky wrote:course it ain't the kessler from 2008world ranked wrote:This isn't Kessler from 2008. Eubank has a good shot to beat Kessler.
but jnr has called out billyjoe again , who would pogger him 7days a week even if he was hungover, degale, who'd make him look stupid, and he's even talked about wanting to fight bellew

had a chace to make serious dough by fighting golovkin, but sh*t it like the yellow belly he is
eubanks jnrs words mean nothting
Err Saunders barely scraped the win last time against an inexperienced Eubank Jr, and has looked awful recently.
I''d make Eubank Jr a very slight favourite if they met again.
Re: Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
Billyjoe performance last time out was terrible, and so was his camp and the way he lived leading up to the fight. I believe that was a complete off night and he would beat Eubank Jnr again. Its all opinion, doesn't really matter what we all think anyway, never said Billyjoe was the best that ever laced them up, and no way does he beat Golovkin, but he'd beat Jnr again if they fought

Only way this fight happens is if Eubank signs up to this new Super 6 style tournament the Sauerlands are starting up (must be why Kessler came back)
Can't see Sr entering Jr into a competition like this when he'd have little control. Team Eubank are Control Freaks.
He's been in the wild card this week Jr so maybe out again July IMO

Its the control freak element that is wasting valuable time in Jnrs career

Biily Joe lacks discipline, clearly he is a guy who doesn't live the life. Eubank Jr isn't that great, but it's obvious he gets himself in fantastic shape. He's improved a little since their first fight, but he's not going to get much better, but he threw quite a few rounds away doing virtually nothing.Oiky wrote:Billyjoe performance last time out was terrible, and so was his camp and the way he lived leading up to the fight. Makes alot of sense. Froch hasn't done anything himself lately and I think alot of people would pay to see this fight so business wise I think it would see both boxers right. The Jnr fight seems to be gaining popularity but I think a Froch fight would do much much betterjamesmcdonnell wrote:Me too.Oiky wrote:Would much rather see a 3rd Froch fightGlobalBox wrote:We have no idea what this version of Kessler has left, I am not sure I would like to see this to be honest because if he has declined over his retirement period, Eubank could simply be too fast and too mobile for him and I could see him being peppered all night by shots which whilst perhaps not knocking him out can still cause damage to a fighter. Re: Eubank Jnr v Kessler?
BJS lacks the desire to apply himself and that stuff is either there or it isn't. How many fighters can you think of who are like that for an extended period and then suddenly fired up and drilled every camp and started living the life? It happens but seldom and this will see him found out. He is good, but he is not so good that he can afford to not graft.
Say what you like about Eubank but he lives the life, he works his arse off and stays in exceptional shape. Prick as a person? Yes. Skill deficiencies? Yes But a great physical specimen with decent skills and fighting instinct.

Agreed, but unfortunately same can be said for every fight in boxing nowadays really. Sorry, I thought you meant eubank was an off night. He was much worse in his last outing.
