Wouldn't be the biggest price to beat Crawford.
I'd imagine Crawford would get through and KO him at some point, but no foregone conclusion - seriously awkward customer.
Hugely foregone conclusion, I'd be shocked if indongo did as well as burns.
Crawford would be about 1/12
Indongo 7/1 ish imo.

Indongo beats Broner all day long.

I think Crawford wanted the fight as he'd get all the belts.

Personally I think the southpaw stance and length are huge problems for him stylistically and that's good loads to do with it. It was noticeable that Crawford first really took over their fight when he switched southpaw, and he was better at range than burns too. His whole style has always been boxing from range and moving, when the other bloke is better than that Burns isn't going to start bob and weaving and hooking from the inside.
Those dimensions are a bitch. Lets not forget that Burns was 'shot' years ago. The beating Crawford would put on Indongo would be criminal.
Those dimensions are an especial bitch when they come with some athletic talent, which Indongo has.
He is wide open, hard for Ricky to fully commit being much slower and without power. Trust me, Crawford undresses this guy in embarrassing fashion. Not that I mean indongo sucks, he just has nothing for TC.

I'd have probably said similar stuff about Patrick Ford pre-Sanchez. Just saying.

I gave Burns a close 7th apart from that it was all Indongo, he was massive for a Super Lightweight, big lanky awkward southpaw, terrible for someone of Ricky's limitations, this performance has been coming for a while for Burns, he was flat, crude and not nearly busy enough to work out Indongo, Burns should've threw the right hand a lot more than he did, maybe afford to miss and catch Indongo with a follow up scoring shot(s), Burns is always better when he's backing up a fighter especially up at this weight where his jabs not been as an important weapon for him, so backing guys up, making it ugly and getting the crowd excited is when he's at his best, he didn't start trying to do that until the last couple of rounds and also as CP mentioned earlier in the thread Burns being unable and unwilling to try fight on the inside where he would have his best chance was always gonna be a big obstacle, i like Indongo though he's definitely got a lot to like

Obviously you would expect Crawford to school him but it would be intresting to see how Terence would deal with someone of Indongo's style and attibutes

I pointed this out in a thread the other day, the "house" judging and reffing is embarrassing :brick:

Oh sure I imagine Crawford beats him well, I was really more saying something like Indingo is a bitch matchup for most mortal-talented fighters, however with Crawford he's got athleticism and power and some explosiveness way beyond what Burns could offer Indingo, plus he's probably as skilful as both of them put together. And like you say Indingo is really open.

Not sure about that. Obviously that's the first time most of us have had a proper look at Indongo but he looked quality. Doubt there would be much in it if he fought Postol.

Another straight-up left hand first type I think Indongo would give him similar problems stylistically but Postol is a much harder puncher than BUrns and also more athletic at this point in his career :TU:

I've never been his biggest fan. Tidy enough boxer but nothing special. He wasn't even competitive against TC.

Crawford would school him. He would be as big and as strong and have as big a reach which removes indongo's advantages. He is also a switch hitter which takes away the awkward south paw advantage. Crawford accuracy and footwork is light years abouve Indongos.

I'd actually think TC would be aggressive and explosive actually, southpaw, inside, left uppercut and right hook

The TC who went for it against Gambia would knock Indingo out quicker i reckon, Gambia much more difficult to hit than Indingo. Get to mid range with a feint, quick straight left to the body, short right hook to the chin :TU:

Fair enough, I didn't know a thing about Ford before he fought sal. Many more surprises in a far better sport then.

It's that X factor you sometimes get when a dude with awkward dimensions is also an athlete, far from a perfect indicator and not something that makes me think g Indingo beats a TC-level fighter

But he's got that stylistic thing where people on aimilar level to him can look like sh1t and people better than him not look that much better

Hell yeah bring it on,not to give tanzio any credit but I do think Indingo may bring the Hearns out of TC :TU:

I thought the first 6 were closely shared, but maybe that's me pissed up (no drugs or brown envelope)

Indongo clearly won the second half of fight, a decent world contender now

It looks like Burns is finished now a similar thing might happen to Nathan Cleverly with a World belt

There were a couple rounds in the first half that didn't have a whole lot in them, but even if I'm reaching to make a case for Burns I can only give him 2 rounds out of 12.

Indongo style all wrong for Burns, he just never got underneath that jab and worked the body enough but all credit to the Namibian he was outstanding tonight. Burns has got through on grit alone too often in all honesty but at 140 he is never going to have enough power to trouble world class opponents and even his fabled workrate got him nowhere tonight, phenomenal career he's had though. If he can't make 135 again I hope he's made enough dough to hang them up as he's had a very tough career but he seems the type who will just keep on boxing as long as he possibly can at whatever level

116-112 card was awful btw, that judge needs to explain how that was even possible, I like Burns and was really rooting for him as always but I struggled to give him a single round try as I might, maybe a 10-10 or two at the very most. UK is now as bad as anywhere for home cooking imho, some absolute shocking scorecards in the past couple of years and you do wonder about corruption
