What's up with those Argentinian fight cards?

Post by Bundana »

Sometimes I go in on BoxRec to see results from the day before around the world. Here I often come across events from Argentina... where, apparently, there has been only one fight on the card!

Are these really one-fight promotions... or is only the main event getting reported, with a lot of undercard fights missing?

Same question, by the way, for all those French one-fight promotions, that seem to take place all the time.

i'm not sure about Argentina, but in France (and several other European countries) cards are often a mixture of several martial arts and/or are filled out with amateur fights.

Thanks, wouter... that makes sense, and probably explains all these one-fight events.

Commissions in France, Italy, Spain and some other countries is the same for amateur (AIBA) and professional boxing. So as usual they make amateur boxing event or dual match and 1 professional boxing fight as main event .

Australia is also subject to multi codes on same show......Particularly in State of New South Wales. View: https://combatsports.nsw.gov.au/permits/received
Note: This weekends shows have been granted permits, but due to Easter Holidays, site hasn't been updated.
