Haumono vs Adamek - June 24th in Poland
Solomon Haumono now 41 and 24-3-2 will meet 40 year old Tomasz Adamek 50-5 over 12 rounds on June 24th in Poland.
Good opportunity for Solo. But Adamek is still fairly formidable. As he proved for 9 rounds against Molina last up, before being stopped.
Adamek has only ever lost to good quality opponents and Solo will need to exert his size and strength to be in it.

Haumono was down to face Julius Long, presumably the Adamek fight offered more coin.
Personally I'd rather Adamek called it a day, he is never going to get the HW title he craves and is taking unnecessary punishment at this stage...

Adamek has sure had his share of punishing fights and over a long period. His two wars with Paul Briggs were unforgettable and they were 11 and 12 years ago.chinarich wrote:Haumono was down to face Julius Long, presumably the Adamek fight offered more coin.

Don't think he will be troubled by Sol. Different levels but good luck to Sol though.chinarich wrote:Haumono was down to face Julius Long, presumably the Adamek fight offered more coin.

Adamek has lost to Glazkov, Szpilka and Molina in recent fights I think his decline puts them roughly on a par. Haumono will need to be at the top of his game but a win is possible...
Re: Haumono vs Adamek - June 24th in Poland
many have expected that solomon had the ability to claim a big name scalp back from a long time ago and this is likely his last chance to do so.

I agree. Adamek is at the stage where him losing a fight like this wouldn't be a massive shock to mechinarich wrote:Adamek has lost to Glazkov, Szpilka and Molina in recent fights I think his decline puts them roughly on a par. Haumono will need to be at the top of his game but a win is possible...
I still expect him to dominate though

Haumono hasn't scaled any heights in a 16 yr career.
Hard to pick a "best fight" from his CV.
Would struggle to last one round with Joshua.
Adamek by stoppage.

His KO of Kyotaro Fujimoto in Japan was impressive

The fight should have been stopped after the first knockdown.
Fujimoto was a sitting duck.
