Gilberto Ramirez vs Max Bursak

Ramirez makes the 1st defence of his WBO Super Middleweight title on the Valdez card against former European Middleweight champ Bursak, pretty shitty fight in all honesty but considering Ramirez has been out injured for over a year its maybe expected, also Saunders was signed to make his 1st defence against Bursak before the inactivity so its not as bad as that

Ramirez was punch perfect against Abraham to win the title, you could argue he never dropped a round and had Arthur looking old, he's a serious talent, strong southpaw with skills and toughness and I was impressed with his engine, lots of movement constantly

Havent seen Bursak in a while, I didn't even know he'd moved up, I'm sure the last time I seen him was when he lost the eliminator to Fletcher, he was well schooled by Murray a few years back and I know he's tough but Ramirez is a big, skilled strong SMW and should break him down

BJS was getting it tight for picking this Bursak character for a defence at middle a year or two ago wasn't he? Shìtty fight man. The SMW division isn't as talented as it once was but surely Ramirez can do better than this.

Ramirez wins 120-106 across the board, Bursak deducted a couple of points for holding, pretty similar to the Abraham fight for Ramirez, very routine, he dominated from the outset, good southpaw jab, strong, good punch variety and delivery, Bursak's a tough customer, kmows how to survive and not get tagged clean too often, he never won a round but it wasnt through lack of trying he's just too crude for someone with Ramirez's skills, I would have like to have seen Ramirez press more but he's been inactive and 12 rounds under the belt will do him good, again like Magdaleno deserves a big fight next, he's a quality operator and doesn't do much wrong from what I can see
