Groves has a bit of a belly
No pix sorry I'm watching a live interview with him on Sky sports news. I thought he had a reputation for staying in shape between fights?
Re: Groves has a bit of a belly
Just seen it. The white shirt never done him any favours. Always wear darker colours when you're packing a few extra pounds
Re: Groves has a bit of a belly
Groves has never been a body beautiful Haye or eubank Adonis. What does he weigh in between bouts?
Re: Groves has a bit of a belly
Sure boxing isn't bodybuilding, but still not good to see - elite athletes should always be in reasonable shape.Ossyrules wrote:Groves has never been a body beautiful Haye or eubank Adonis. What does he weigh in between bouts?
Re: Groves has a bit of a belly

Re: Groves has a bit of a belly
He is going to be a Jake Lamota when he retires
Re: Groves has a bit of a belly
I agree but let's be fair he wouldn't be the first boxer to put on weight between fights!skanksta wrote:Sure boxing isn't bodybuilding, but still not good to see - elite athletes should always be in reasonable shape.Ossyrules wrote:Groves has never been a body beautiful Haye or eubank Adonis. Groves v Chudinov added to the Brook v Spence bill on May 27th.

I disagree. He always looked in good nick in his earlier fights under Booth.Ossyrules wrote:Groves has never been a body beautiful Haye or eubank Adonis. What does he weigh in between bouts?

Nobody - Chudinov lost it to Sturm who was then stripped after the failed drugs test, hence Chudinov gets another shot against the number 1 in GrovesTaansend wrote:Who holds the Super Duper at the moment?MarkMcBurney wrote:Super.kevo wrote:

Re: Groves has a bit of a belly
I'm not as worried about the gut on him as I am with the chip on his shoulder that he seemed to develop after the Froch loss.
But it looks like the loss to Badou Jack might have straightened him out, four good wins to his name since and 2 decisions and 2 KO/TKO wins along the way might have brought him back to how he used to be.
As long as he gives this fight everything he's got and he might come away with the world title at last as long as he doesn't look past Chudinov, a man with four world title fights (if you include the interim belt) and 3 wins and a loss against a boxer who cheated to get an advantage and only barely got a decision, this isn't a boxer to take lightly.
