Is wessex being paid to start threads and post youtube videos in every post? I wonder if boxrec are paying him to keep the forum active?

Groves will outjab and outbox him to a clear points win. Chudinov is solid but very robotic and lacks movement. He looks made for Groves jab.

About bloody time to be honest, George is someone who needs to be active.

Think this is his last chance saloon but also his best chance of becoming a world champion

I opted for Groves but I'm surprized the poll is so one sided.

Groves has come up short at world level more than once and there's more than a few question marks.

I'm arguing against my own pick here.... WTF?

FC got robbed by judges against Sturm. I fancy him to win in a straight contest.

If I can argue against you in your defence.....

He didn't come up short in his first world title attempt. It was an early stoppage. Very early. He might well have lost fairly but we'll never know as the ref had made his mind up before the fight started that if Groves got hit he'd stop it.

Second fight, Froch won fair & square.

Jack fight. Started slow but did decent against the 'home' fighter who has been under estimated in every fight he's had since his lone loss.

Seems to be in his prime now but who knows in this age of fragmented titles.

Im also surprised it's that lopsided, but has Groves ever fallen short against someone on Chud's level? He lost highly competitive bouts to elite opponents, and against Degale he showed that he can put it together in a big fight.

I think he should beat Chud fairly comfortably

I'm a big Groves fan. Really good boxer and I think if there had been a couple minor adjustments in the past we could be talking about the dominant 168er, not a guy trying to gain wt glory at a 4th attempt.

Groves by a strong decision

How will he react after the Gutknecht thing?

Groves does come across to me as a decent lad overall. He'll be absolutely gutted about that.

Chudinov is a gutsy, resilient fighter (as shown in his fight with Buglioni where he was knocked down after the bell) - that said, he's undersized for 168 and I see Groves scoring a late round stoppage.

My concern is Chudinov taking a sustained beating like Gutnecht did though, as Chudinov seems equally tough. Hopefully the ref is on the ball.

I really think this could be Groves time, although I thought he would've beat Jack as well mind, its now or never surely, Chudinov is a good strong fighter but not in Jack or Froch's league, I hope the Gutknecht fight isn't weighing too much on Groves's mind and he can use it for inspiration, he was really good in the fight and really gave Gutknecht a beating, obviously it was costly but at least if Groves were to win then it would've been for something

I thought Chudinov should've been reinstated as champ anyhow after Sturm pissed dirty to rub salt in the wounds of being given a gift against Chudinov in the first place, Fedor beat Sturm comfortably enough 1st time and only wins by SD, Sturm gets a rematch Chudinov wins comfortably again on my card but Sturm gets it and then fails a test, an absolute joke

Groves will need to stay switched on against Chudinov and try not to get involved in any exchanges, he has a tendency to try slug his way out of trouble and if Chudinov gets there first then Groves will be in trouble, i'd like to see Groves use his brain in this fight, he's got a great jab and is punching to the body well these days, Chudinov is sturdy and I'm sure he'll have his moments but its Groves ability that should win on the night, goes to the cards though

I have always liked Groves. It may well be his time if he can avoid Ramirez and Benavidez.

Jack's performance against DeGale probably caused a few people to reconsider George's performance in his narrow loss to Jack and give him a bit more credit. I don't think Chudinov is as good as Jack and I think George will deal with him fairly comfortably.

Hope so, George seems like he's one of the good guys and it wouldn't sit well with me if he were just remembered as the guy Froch sparked out at Wembley.
