If GGG vs Canelo fight happens this year I think Canelo defeats GGG

Post by apollo creed »

Personally this fight should've happened after Canelo fought Khan. Atm Canelo looks very strong and matured as a fighter, meanwhile GGG slowed down a little. Not to mention that all 3 judges would be on Canelo side.

Canelo may become the king at 160.

If they fight in September and he pulls it off, more power to the GingerHeaded Mexican prima dona.

If they put it off until next year, he's a pumpkin-headed, pleat skirt wearing, giant vulva.

If GGG can heal his injury, he will still be able to beat Canelo next year.

It will be very interesting to see how Canelo handles JCCJR's punches in a few weeks. A full fledged MW with respectable power in both hands in JCCJR. If Canelo walks through those punches then the OP has a point. It will be very difficult for GGG to win a decision over Canelo no matter where they fight. It won't be fair but that's the world of boxing that we live in.

If canelo wants a truly respectable win over ggg they should fight asap. The fight should have already happen.

Or he can keep delaying it like mayweather vs Pacquaio and you end up with a fight where 1 has clearly declined

So, if Canelo can handle Junior's punches, it makes you think that he can handle Golovkin's ??? It doesn't make any sense. The other way would be logical, but not your way.

I wonder how GGG would react when Canelo counters him or lands some combos on him ? Many people are underestimating Canelo but he's young , very experienced and very strong. If Jacobs took GGG's best shots , then certinetly Canelo can take them too.

Jacobs didn't take GGG's best shots, as GGG was very cautious and economical which I think was due to an injury (probably right hand/arm/shoulder).

It would be more disgraceful than Mayweather vs Pacquiao if he kept trying to wait out GGG. Mayweather was older than Pacquiao. He had no age advantage.

Canelo is 8 or 9 years younger than GGG so he clearly benefits by putting this off, and letting GGG age. It's much more cowardly on his part to keep putting this fight off the way he has.

Jacobs didn't take GGG's best shots in my opinion, because GGG didn't really land them. Keep in mind that he still got dropped and then hurt again later in the fight...

Canelo has shown a good chin against smaller opponents he's faced, but he's also cement footed and would be right in front of GGG; he's not a 6'0" fighter who can pull off the same type of consistent and rapid movement that Jacobs did.

That's true re age, but the principals the same. There was a clear decline in Pacquaio level compared to mayweather, despite mayweather being older

I despise Canelo but he seems to be someone who is working on his deficits. Every training video i have seen of him post the smith fight is foot movement and head movement with power punching. His stocky body's only going to allow him to do what he can but if he's actively working on them, that makes him even more dangerous. His ducking of Golovkin had been the worst mainstream duck i have ever seen, its a disgrace.

We really need to see what the extra weight does to him. Will he have more energy? Or will he crumble not being the bigger man in the ring. I'm hoping he crumbles in his fight with chavez but the odds are stacked against Chavez. If the fight happens this year i still have Golovkin as the favourite. But the longer this goes on, its not good for Golovkin and that was GBP plan. I really feel that Golovkin is Canelos challenge and everything he does, all his training, his next pic of opponents will be with Golovkin in mind.

Yup. Gingerboy gets better with each training camp. Golovkin is a hell of a fighter but you can't beat father time especially when you have accumulated a lot of wear and tear during your boxing career.

Built in excuses for GGG in every breath. People are genuinely concerned about Alvarez, almost as if they know Alvarez will beat GGG, hence the excuses.

It's non stop seriously, I honestly almost feel sorry how a bunch of grown ass men show such fanboyism. It's cringe worthy and gives me a weird feeling like I almost feel sorry for them, yet I want to punch them in the face for acting like a bitch.

GGG fought a guy who had a great gamplan in Jacobs. Suddenly GGG looks beatable so before he faces his real Boogeyman lets make every excuse in the book for the guy so any victory over GGG at this point is tainted lmao.. GTFOH..

Honestly am I the only one that sees this type of mindset from alot of people who post on these forums?

JCCJR is going to be 195 pounds come fight night next month plus whatever Angel Heredia puts in his body illegally for power. If Canelo can take JR's punches and demonstrate the rock chin that he's had since starting in the sport then I think that he'll be able to take GGG's power just fine. JCCJR is going to be a freaking Cruiserweight come fight night for god sakes. How don't you understand this?

I think they bank on this. 190 lbs + some great shakes for power and stamina. :OhYes:

gingerchick, aka trembling"toscaredtofight"vulva will never be king of anything. Even should he ko golovkin in round one, the ginger chicken has already proved to the world that he did not have the balls to fight the best, when they were the best. he can never be king at anything that relates to this sport.

They remind me of Floydiots, but they aren't on that level pathological worship.

It does bother me that they have to rationalize why 3G did not stop Jacobs. Also, I see what you mean with the ones who have annointed 3G the GOAT MW before a single signature win but once challenged by a close fight their mangod is on the decline and vulnerable. Of course, now it's "a few years ago he would have . . . "

On the other hand, Team GingerPussy's strategy has been eminently cvntworthy.

After Trout, Floyd and Lara fiascos, DLH and Canyellow have been carefully avoiding serious challenges, so there is no way to say if he gets any better.
