the fight was ruled a unanimous decision. yet one of the judges found the match to be a draw. if one judge finds it a draw then isnt it a split decision.

No -- under NY's rules then in place, extra points were awarded. So, even though one judge had it even, he gave the decision to Braddock on points, thus it was a unanimous decision.
